Inserido num aglomerado residencial, zona de grande contraste entre o edificado e o vale agrícola protegido, esta
construção com mais de 75 anos torna-se numa importante referência temporal e cultural. Apesar de uma clara leitura das
transformações ao longo do tempo, realça-se a nobreza da conjugação dos seus materiais bem como o posicionamento
solar estratégico.
Com o seu alçado mais nobre virado a sul, mantém-se a sua estrutura principal, pretendendo-se com esta proposta clarificar
a sua forma, destacando a parte mais nobre do seu conjunto, corrigindo o outro lado com uma fachada nova. Procurou-se
recriar a imagem de um celeiro, pela utilização de técnica de sombreamento através de um ripado vertical.
A distribuição interior respeita a geometria existente dividindo a área social das áreas mais privadas, criando deste modo
uma hierarquia natural nos espaços.
No conjunto a proposta visa corrigir/eliminar os “ruídos” existentes na paisagem e reforçar as marcas que o tempo foi
deixando ficar no edificado existente.

Insérée dans un ensemble résidentiel, zone de grand contraste entre le bâti et la vallée agricole protégée, cette construction
de plus de 75 ans devient une référence temporelle et culturelle. Malgré une lecture clairement visible des transformations au
cours du temps, sautent aux yeux la noblesse de la conjugaison de ses matériaux tout comme la position solaire stratégique.
Avec sa projection verticale la plus noble tournée vers le sud, se maintient sa structure principale, l’ambition de cette
proposition étant de clarifier sa forme, en mettant en évidence la partie la plus noble de son ensemble, en corrigeant l’autre
côté avec une nouvelle façade. L’objectif était de créer l’image d’un cellier au moyen de techniques d’assombrissement
utilisant un lattis vertical.

Housed in a crowded residential area of great contrast between the built and protected agricultural valley, this construction
with over 75 years becomes an important cultural and temporal reference. Despite a clear reading of the changes over time,
we would highlight the nobility of the combination of its materials as well as solar strategic positioning.
With its noblest elevation facing south, remains its main structure, the aim being to clarify this proposal form, highlighting
the noblest part of the whole, correcting the other side with a new facade. We tried to recreate the image of a barn, the use
of shading technique through vertical battens.
The interior distribution respects the existing geometry by dividing the social areas from the private areas, creating a natural
hierarchy in the spaces.
On the whole the proposal aims to fix / eliminate “noise” in the existing landscape and strengthen the brands that the time
was leaving behind the existing building.
