International Graduate School Groningen-Mannheim

Vascular Biology and Medicine
The University of Groningen, The Netherlands, School of Medicine and the University
of Heidelberg, Mannheim Medical Faculty, are jointly opening up an International
Graduate School in Vascular Biology and Medicine.
The four major topics are:

immune-mediated endothelial damage
toxic & metabolic endothelial damage
tumor angiogenesis
stress-induced vascular changes
We are soliciting applications from students having completed programs (M.S./M.A.)
in the natural sciences, psychology, human and veterinary medicine. A total of 13
Scholarships for
• 6 Graduate Students
• 7 Medical Students
is offered for at least three years. Funding comes from both the Dutch Ministry for
Science and research (NWO) and the German Research Foundation (DFG). The
scientific projects will be matched by a program of lectures and courses, both in
Groningen and Mannheim. Students are expected to spend time at both locations.
