It's a great pleasure for LRP electronic GmbH and the VfR Rüsselsheim e.V. to invite you to the 18th annual LRP Touring Car Masters, which will be held from January 23rd to January 25th 2015 in Rüsselsheim/Germany. We are also very happy to have the Adam Opel AG as supporter who will present some of their products. The LRP-TCM is regarded as the most competitive Touring Car race worldwide apart from the IFMAR World-Championships nowadays. Over 200 drivers including international topstars from Europe, the USA and Japan will make this the unofficial Indoor Worlds in 2015! Past events saw World Champions Atsushi Hara, Marc Rheinard, Surikarn Chaidajsuriya, Masami Hirosaka, Jukka Steenari, Andy Moore and Naoto Matsukura fighting for the glory. Europe's top guns like Ronald Völker, Juho Levänen, Alexander Hagberg, Christopher Krapp, Freddy Südhoff or Martin Hudy will compete against contenders from all around the world, don’t miss this exciting battle. We will have the latest information regarding the event on the web, so check regularly at www.lrp.cc and http://rccar.vfr-ruesselsheim.de. We will run a total of 6 classes at the LRP-TCM 2015. All classes are open for all drivers and the “Masters” will be run according to EFRA rules 2014 on LRP’s VTEC CPX (#65031) controlled tires. Additionally the exciting LRP-HPI-Challenge will be run again with 5 classes. So there definitely is a class for all drivers and this will make it even more enjoyable for everyone! The race format for this year will be quite similar and offers the same driving time for everyone like in the last year, please refer to preliminary time-table. Get ready for the race and make sure you sign up early (we accept entries from 7th of December 2014, 18.00 CET), the number of entries is limited to 300 and the race is usually booked out very fast! We hope to welcome you in Rüsselsheim in January for the LRP Touring Car Masters 2015 and wish you a great racing winter in the meantime... Yours sincerely, Stefan Köhler Stefan Köhler LRP electronic GmbH LRP Touring Car Masters 2015 Thomas Heuer Thomas Heuer VfR Rüsselsheim e.V. Starting with the timed practice used for reseating only the marked tires may be used (excl. Rookie-Challenge). The drivers of the ClassicChallenge have to glue their tires in the technical inspection area. The number of tire sets is not limited. They have to be bought trackside as only these marked tires are allowed. The tires may only be used by one driver and may not be changed from one driver to another. Additionally the chassis will be marked. LRP Touring Car Masters 2015 Page 5 of 7 After practice the qualifying heats will be re-arranged using the three fastest & combined laps from timed practice. The minimum ride height for all classes is 5.0mm RULES –“MASTERS” CLASS This is only a quick overview of the rules; race will be run according EFRA handbook 2014 if not specified different here. You can find complete rules at www.efra.ws. All cars must be within the specifications at any time of the race (before and after the run!). If there are differences between these rules below and the one in the German version of this information-package, the German version counts. Reseating: The qualifying heats will be re-arranged using the three fastest & combined laps from timed practice. Dimensions: - Maximum width (w/o body): - Maximum width (with body): - Maximum wheelbase: - Minimum height: - Minimum weight: - Minimum ride height: 190mm 195mm 270mm 115mm 1350g (with transponder) 5.0mm Bodies & Wing: Not restricted to EFRA’s homologation list, but have to follow EFRA’s entire definition. All touring car (sedan) style 4-door bodies are allowed. No GT or sports car bodies allowed. - Maximum wing chord: 40mm - Maximum wing width: 190mm - Wing endplates maximum: 40 x 25mm Tires & Additive: - Starting with the timed practice only the marked tires may be used. Additional sets of tires can be bought trackside. The tires may only be used from one driver and not changed from one driver to another. - Any modification at the tire is not allowed (no baking, microwaving…). Gluing of the sidewall is allowed. - Allowed tyre additives: TopGrip Carpet #65010, TopGrip Carpet-2 #65011, TopGrip Carpet-3 #65012, Top Grip Asphalt #65020. Other additives are not allowed! - Cleaning the tires is only allowed using volatile substances (like LRP X-Tra Cleaner 2 #65120) or brake cleaner. Batteries: LiPo (2S) and LiFePo (2S) batteries are allowed. All cells/packs must be on EFRA approval list 2014. Batteries must be in the manufacturers original heatshrink/case and be commercially available in the spirit of the sport, any kind of prototype or pre-production cells are illegal. LiPo charging rules: - A maximum voltage of 8.40V may not be exceeded. This may be checked at any time. The voltage on this specific voltmeter is deciding. - If your battery voltage is above 8.40V, you may discharge the battery and start in your race. If the battery voltage is above 8.44V you may not run your race! - Discharging of the battery has to be done with a charger/discharger or by accelerating the motor. It is explicitly forbidden to discharge the battery by driving on the track. - The process of discharging the battery may not take any influence on the timetable. It is not the race director's duty to wait for that driver. - For charging you have to use a common, commercial available LiPo balancer and the industry-standard CC-CV charging method has to be used. The balancer has to be connected to the battery throughout the entire charging process. - The external heating of the battery is specificly forbidden. - The hardcase may not be slivered or ground to the core. In particular: the cells must always be covered. - Not following these above written rules can lead to severe penalties (not being allowed to start at this heat, having to leave the event, ...). Motors in “Masters” class: Brushless motors with no motor wind limit are allowed. All motors have to comply with latest EFRA 2014 rules. Other technical specifications: All cars must have independent suspension operating on all four wheels. No automatic steering or power/traction control is allowed; the function of steering and throttle may only be influenced by the transmitter. In no way may they be influenced by the movement or acceleration of the car. Any sensor or electronic device that measures any movements of the car is not allowed. The only legal driver aid is the use of a current-limiter in the speed-control. The use of multiple-speed transmissions and slipper clutches is not allowed. If anyone gets caught breaking the rules for tyres, additive, motors or batteries; it may result in disqualification from the event! LRP Touring Car Masters 2015 Page 6 of 7 SITE MAP – WHAT IS WHERE?
