Leo Hopfinger and Tom Simonetti have been touring for three years under the name of
Rhytm Police through Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. People were thrilled
and since December 2008, not only live audiences have experienced the raw energy of
distorted bass, live drums, vintage synths and modern sampling together with tagline
lyrics. The Rhytm Police debut “Turbo Bells” received huge response in indie-stores,
fanzines, online-mags and big print media. Some of them compared the two guys from
Bavaria with Ed Banger and their Entourage. One of the last independent bastion of
german radio, “Zündfunk” on Bavarian radio, even declared “Turbo Bells” their record
of the week in January, in one line with Sonic Youth, Grizzly Bear, Anthony and The
Johnsons and Pavement.
Now, Rhytm Police took the Adamski/Seal-classic “Killer” and worked it up in their
very own style. The result is one fine track, with tons of bass, distilled to its
best, full of energy. Eight remixes of tracks from their debut “Turbo Bells” complete
the EP and make it a fine addition to every DJ-Set and music collection. Remixes were
made by such talented sound freaks as LAZR LAZR, Dobré, Firnwald, Leroy Schlimm and
Hometrainer (Console, Dolby Buster, Harry Klein Munich).

Exciting overlap of rock, disco and electro. Rhytm Police sound pleasantly unique, nearly all
the time, without getting out of touch with the golden mean. The artist duo received
enthusiastic reactions in the last months, due to their highly energetic live performances.
