Culture@Work
Concept
Over the past two decades significant attention has been paid to the
collaboration between agents in the cultural sector and the
universities.
The Culture@Work project aims to:
Deepen transnational perspectives on high level practice-based
training of professionals in the cultural sector by promoting an
intellectual and artistic exchange with established and emerging
artists;
The Culture@Work Project, initiated by the Lisbon Consortium and
co-funded by the Culture Programme of the European Union, aims
to develop an international platform for the circulation of artistic
work and for the collaborative training of professionals in the

Northern Europe in order to reflect a diverse and yet coherent
European approach to the study of culture;

The PhDnet ”Literary and Cultural Studies” offers a truly European
doctoral programme. Scholars benefit from a tight network of jointly
organised symposia, conferences and master classes. Multidimensional international supervision ensures the highest academic
standard.

REDINTER
The consortium REDINTER (Rede Europeia de Intercompreensão –
The European Network of Intercomprehension) is composed of 28
partner institutions and 27 associated institutions. It started on the
occasion of the International Colloquium Dialogues in
Intercomprehension in Lisboa. Intercomprehension is a form of
plurilingual communication in which everyone understands the
language of the others and speaks the language he knows.
PREFIC
The Project PREFIC aims (i) at structuring a European network of
trainers in Intercomprehension among neighbour languages, and (ii)
at proposing a training offer in intercomprehension of Romance
languages to an adult public involved in multinational professional
contexts in order to facilitate their exchanges and their mobility.
LCM: Language, Culture and Mind – International conference cycle
The LCM conference series aims at situating the study of language
in a contemporary interdisciplinary dialogue (involving philosophy,
linguistics, psychology, anthropology, semiotics and other related
fields), and promoting a better integration of cognitive and cultural
perspectives in empirical and theoretical studies of language.
EENCS/ESSCS – European Excellence Network for Cultural Studies
The European Summer School in Cultural Studies is a networkbased seminar for interdisciplinary research training in the fields of
art and culture, organized by the PhD Programme in Cultural
Studies, Literature and the Arts at the University of Copenhagen,
The Amsterdam School of Cultural Analysis, The International
Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture at the University of
Giessen, The London Consortium, École Doctorale Esthétique,
sciences et technologies des arts, Université de Paris VIII, the Lisbon
Consortium, Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis Ljublana and The
University of Trondheim.
CECC has developed its activities in the context of international
