Brief description of the Program Grants: • Fulbright grant for Portuguese Scholars and Researchers – all fields of study. • Fulbright / Instituto Camões grant for scholars and researchers - Linguistics, Communication, Language Teaching Pedagogy and Didactics, History, Contemporary History, Sociology, Literature, Political Science, International Relations, Distance Education, Fine Arts, Performing Arts. These grants enable both lecture and/or research activities. 2. Brief analysis of how the promotion, competition and selection process took place (planning, outreach, media, calendars, pool of evaluators, etc). Competitions opened on October 1st and ended on October 31st. On October 9th we offered a webinar for applicants with full explanation of the grants’ conditions and of the application form. 6 applicants attended this webinar. 36 applications were received, one of them incomplete. The 35 complete applications were grouped in 10 panels: • Agriculture and Environmental Sciences • Art and History • Chemistry • Biological Sciences – Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, and Neuroscience • Biological Sciences – Marine Biology • Communication, Literature and Philosophy • Computer Science and Mathematics, • Education • Engineering • Pharmacology These panels were reviewed by former Fulbright grantees in the correspondent fields of study.
