Hospitality, quality wine and breathtaking scenery
Desde setembro de 2014, os amantes de vinho contam com
mais um destino na América do Sul. Situado no Chile a,
aproximadamente, 200 quilômetros de Santiago, a Viña Vik
une duas paixões: turismo e vinho.
A propriedade pertence ao norueguês Alex Vik, que detém
galerias de arte em Nova Iorque, três hotéis em José
Ignacio, no Uruguai, entre outros negócios. O resultado
são acomodações exclusivas e uma marca de vinho de
qualidade.
Assinado pelo uruguaio Marcelo Daglio, o hotel de luxo
conta com um décor aconchegante e sofisticado. Cada
espaço possui característica própria,sendo preenchido com
mobiliário, murais e instalações, esculturas e pinturas.
A ampla sala de estar central e o jardim interno dão boas
-vindas aos hóspedes, que são muito bem recebidos com
um teto de titânio bronzeado e a piscina de borda infinita
de ardósia, que complementam o visual.
Since September 2014, wine lovers can count on another
destination in South America. It is located in Chile, about 200
kilometers from Santiago, Viña Vik merges two passions:
tourism and wine.
The property belongs to Alex Vik, Norwegian, who owns art
galleries in New York, three hotels in José Ignacio, Uruguay,
as well as other businesses. The results are exclusive
accommodations and a quality brand of wine.
The luxury hotel has been undersigned by Marcelo Daglio,
Uruguayan, and it is furnished with comfy and sophisticated
décor. Each space features specific characteristics, with
furniture, murals, and installations, sculptures, and paintings.
There is an ample main living room and indoor garden
welcoming the guests, which are so welcomed by the bronzed
titanium ceiling and the swimming pool decorated by infinite
slate border, highlighting the visual impact.

All the 22 suites are individually decorated, including works
of art, most of them works from Chilean artists and among
them Sebastián Valenzuela, Francisco Uzabeaga, and Pablo
Montealegre are featured.
On the same property, there is an arch building preceded by
a dotted reflecting pool dotted with regional granite rocks,
undersigned by the Chilean architect Smiljan Radic, housing
the vineyard.
The location was carefully selected after performing geological
tests and positive proof of approval in order to assure the
quality of the wines produced in the location, the property is
4,300 hectares in the beautiful Millahue Valley, in the central
region of the country.
Production began in 2006, and the first harvest was in 2009,
Viña Vik produces a unique blend of Camenère, Cabernet
Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah.
Todas as 22 suítes são decoradas individualmente com
obras de arte, em sua maioria de artistas chilenos, entre
eles Sebastián Valenzuela, Francisco Uzabeaga e Pablo
Montealegre.
Na mesma propriedade, o prédio em arco precedido por
um espelho d’água pontilhado com rochas de granito da
região, assinado pelo arquiteto chileno Smiljan Radic,
abriga a vinícola.
Para garantir a qualidade dos vinhos produzidos no local,
o terreno de 4.300 hectares no belo Vale de Millahue, na
região Central do país, foi escolhido minuciosamente, após
testes geológicos e uma conclusão positiva.
Com a produção iniciada em 2006, e a primeira safra em
2009, a Viña Vik apresenta um único blend de Camenère,
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah.

Na composição de acomodações exclusivas e vinhos de
qualidade, o que não pode faltar é uma boa gastronomia.
Pratos variados, e até mesmo a tradicional parilla sul
-americana, são acompanhados, é claro, do excepcional
vinho VIK, produzido e engarrafado na propriedade – que
pode ser servido na sala de jantar ou no terraço com vista
para as colinas cobertas pelas vinhas.
O Viña Vik resgata o terroir chileno, privilegiando os
pescados frescos do Pacífico, o salmão chileno, boas carnes
– grande parte defumadas ali mesmo – e ingredientes
trazidos de produtores da região, além de pães caseiros e
doces, preparados artesanalmente.
Os hóspedes ainda podem fazer degustações acompanhadas
por especialistas na bodega VIK, passeios de bicicleta
pelos vinhedos, cavalgadas e até voo de balão. Salão de
Jogos, Fitness Center, Sauna e um Spa especializado em
tratamentos à base das propriedades nutricionais do vinho
complementam a experiência.
Good gourmet cuisine cannot be neglected in this composition
of exclusive accommodations, quality wines. So, there are a
great variety of dishes, and even the traditional South American
“parilla” (grilled steak), served with VIK wine, produced and
bottled right on the property – the meals are served in the
dining hall or on the terrace with a view of the hills covered by
the vineyards.
Viña Vik recaptures the Chilean “terroir”, privileged with the
fresh fish caught in the Pacific Ocean, Chilean salmon, good
cuts of meats – most of them smoked right there – and all
the ingredients produced locally in the region, as well as
homemade bread and sweets, prepared by artisans.
The guests can even taste wines accompanied by specialists
in the VIK wine cellar, take bike rides around the vineyard, go
horseback riding, and go on balloon rides. There is a Game
Room, Fitness Center, Sauna and a specialized Spa based on
nutritional properties of wine to complement your experience.
