From Your Pastor………………………………………………………………
Dear Members and Friends of HSK,
It is not hot yet! I like these days even
though we have completed Spring. And
what will the weather be like this week? I
hope we see blue skies for many days.
However, if you think that some places on
our planet need rain, you are correct.
Places in Australia and a big part of
California desperately need rain. Marikosan recently called and said her part of the
state is not that dry yet but…we should
continue to ask the Lord for rain in very
dry places.
And I hope we have not
forgotten about the nation of Nepal. Who
is praying for Christians there?
Concerning the tragedy on a river in
China about 10 days ago, it was reported
that the government there is not yet
allowing much information to be known by
relatives and news networks.
Another
report about a new road in North Korea
says the road was built to make it more
difficult for people to escape from their
country. And have you read about the
thousands of people trying to escape from
Libya into Europe these past few weeks by
crossing the Mediterranean Sea on
overcrowded boats?
Oh the misery of
people made by other people. I hope we
are asking our Heavenly Father to make
His church in those nations so powerful!
For the past few weeks, on You Tube,
I have been watching a pastor speaking at
a church conference which is probably
held every year. The conference seems to
be held at a church building which
probably seats several thousand people.
During the pastor’s message, almost every
person will stand and clap many times.
There is loud rejoicing and some dancing.
I have never been in a meeting like the
meetings I have seen on those You Tube
videos. And I have this idea: Could such
clapping and rejoicing be possible in
Japan? Could such loud singing happen in
HSK? I have decided to believe that kind
of fellowship with God is an experience we
must have.
So…who will believe this
with me? ‘Those who sow in tears shall
reap with joyful shouting’(Psalm 126:5).
I want to say again how pleased I am
with everyone’s genuine love for all who
come to our church for the first time. It’s
true that someone we meet for the first
we really don’t know. It’s true that the
person we meet may not be able to
understand Japanese or English or
Portuguese. And it is also true that the
visitor could have a variety of expressions
including fear! But I recently saw this for
the first time: If I am the first one to
smile and the first one to shake a visitor’s
hand or give a hug, that visitor gets a little
release. That visitor gets a little release
from fear…that visitor gets a little release
from worry…that visitor gets a little release
from pride. Let’s love more and give more
release! ‘There is no fear in love…’(1 John
4:18).
Have you seen someone who was a
little anxious about getting out of the
church parking area without hitting
another car?
Please help that person.
HSK does not have a wide parking area so
some drivers will need some assistance.

Please remember…Rather than prayer
request cards being distributed during the
meeting, you will be offered a

Beginning last Sunday…the
parking space located beside the
baptismal pool is reserved for
a nyo n e w h o h a s d i f f i c u l ty
walking. There is only one space
at this time. Please do not use
this space if you can walk
normally.
A very good newsletter…has been
received from Mami-san and Ryo-san who
are working with other Christians in
Ishinomaki City. One newsletter
is in English and the other one
is in Japanese. Please look for
them on the church bulletin
board. Please read and pray for
these ‘missionaries’.
New Information from…Stevens Eikosan can be found in the church foyer. The
‘News Letter’ contains
information about current
events in Israel as well as truth
found in the Old Testament.
Please find your free copy in
the foyer.
Directions to the newest parking
area…and ‘pickup times’ can be found in
the church foyer. Note: Everyone who is
picked up in the new area should make
arrangements with the ‘HSK
shuttle car’ driver for the return
trip to the parking area after
the morning meeting is finished.
If you park your car in the gym…on
Sunday morning, please notice that some
space is reserved for kei cars(3 spaces)
and normal size cars(2 spaces).
One
space is reserved for the
‘shuttle car’ which picks up
people who have parked in the
new parking area. Please park
your car in the correct place in
the gym. Note: No cars should block the
entrance to the gym. Thank you!
Ishinomaki Christian Center(ICC)…is
the organization which Mami-san and Ryosan are working with.

The
pictures tell a lot about what
they are doing.
Another reminder: If there is a car in
the church gym, please do not play
basketball or any game with a ball. Balls
of any size can easily scratch the paint on
a car and result in a problem! Basketball
is permitted after all cars have been
removed from the gym.
And…soccer is
never permitted in the gym.
This Saturday night(20th)…a former
Japanese gangster, Shindo-san, will be
sharing at the Enshu Revival Night
beginning at 7 PM.

Kikuchi Eri-san is seeking a good
yochien for Miina-chan.
Please ask the
Lord to bless this family with wisdom for
making the right choices.
This friend of Rose-san and Ayumi-san
needs healing in her knees, Maureen-san.
Please ask the Lord to give this friend
perfect health and faith to believe in Jesus
for salvation.
Who will pray for these two nations:
North Korea and China? They are very
different in size but both have no respect
for God.
May God give the Christians
protection from their persecutors.
Too many fathers of children attending
HSK are not Christians yet. Please ask the
Lord to bring these men to faith for
salvation.
All men attending HSK are working hard
at their job and some are working hard in
order to keep their job. Who will ask the
Lord to give them new strength?
Faye-san returns to the Philippines in
about 2 weeks. She gets married in July.
Please ask the Lord to help her as she
prepares for traveling and her wedding.
All HSK Sunday school teachers would
like to be better teachers. Please ask the
Lord to increase their knowledge of God
and love for the children and youth.
Richard-san wants to successfully
complete college courses he is taking ‘online.’ Please pray for him and his family
again.
Almost every week there is someone
who comes to HSK needing better health.
Who will ask the Lord to heal the sick
when we pray?

Thoughts to ponder…From the book: He Used A Stone
By: L. Velez… Chapter 12 “Victory: David & Jonathan”
‘In becoming a giant slayer, David gained
incredible triumph. It did not just affect
the nation of Israel, but his defeat of
Goliath released amazing favor and
blessing over David’s life.
We all face
giants and they will either be a place of
victory or a place of defeat—a stumbling
block or a stepping stone. This depends
on how we perceive them and how we
stand on the promises of God.
For all of Israel, Goliath represented a
place of defeat—a stumbling block.
However, David’s victory was a stepping
stone into more of God’s inheritance for
him. In the same way, Jesus’ triumph over
death on the cross has been a stumbling
block for many, but it is a stepping stone
for those who believe.
While a victorious boy stood before the
king with Goliath’s head in his hand and
answered that he was the son of Jesse.
Jonathan, the son of Saul, looked on. And
in that moment David found favor with
Jonathan, the prince of Israel (I Samuel
18:1
Jonathan was the prince of Israel and in
line to be the next king and yet, we see
him disrobing himself and giving his robe
he was wearing to David, along with his
tunic, and even his sword, his bow and his
belt (I Samuel 18:3-4).
What transpired between Jonathan and
David is an incredible picture of what
happens between Jesus and us when we
are saved. Jesus is the Son of God, and in
that frame of reference he, like Jonathan,
is a prince and the son of a King.
Jonathan's willingness to take off his
clothes and give his royal garments to
David is an illustration of exactly what
happened when Jesus came to earth.
When Jesus came to earth and took the
form of a man, he was setting aside his
equality with God. In other words he was
disrobing himself of His identity as God.’

Caros membros e amigos da HSK,
Ainda não está Quente! Mas Eu gosto
destes Dias de Primavera que ainda
temos. E como vai estar o tempo essa
semana? Espero ver céus azuis por muitos
dias. No entanto, se você acha que alguns
lugares em nosso planeta precisa de
chuva, você está certo! há lugares na
Austrália e uma grande parte da Califórnia
precisando desesperadamente de chuva.
Mariko recentemente nos chamou e disse
que sua parte do estado não é tão seco
ainda, mas ... devemos continuar a pedir
ao Senhor chuva em lugares muito secos.
E eu espero que nós não esqueçamos do
povo do Nepal. Quem está orando pelos
cristãos de lá?
No que diz respeito a tragédia em um
rio na China cerca de 10 dias atrás, foi
noticiado que o governo ainda não foi
permitido dar muitas informações a
conhecidos das familias e redes de
notícias. Uma outra notícia sobre uma
nova estrada na Coreia do Norte, diz que a
estrada foi construída para torná-se mais
difícil para as pessoas saírem do seu país.
E você já leu sobre as milhares de pessoas
que tentaram escapar da Líbia para a
Europa nas últimas semanas, atravessando
o Mar Mediterrâneo em barcos
superlotados? Oh a miséria das pessoas
feitas por outras pessoas. Eu espero que
nós estejamos pedindo ao Pai Celestial
para fazer a Sua igreja ness as nações tão
ponderosa!
Nessas últimas semanas, no You Tube,
eu fui assistir um pastor falando em uma
conferência da igreja que provavelmente é
realizada a cada ano. A conferência parece
ser realizada em um edifício da igreja que
provavelmente acomoda vários milhares
de pessoas.
Durante a mensagem do
pastor, quase todas as pessoas vão ficar
em pé e bater muitas palmas.Há muita
alegria e algumas danças. Eu nunca estive
em uma reunião como as reuniões que
tenho visto nesses vídeos no You Tube. E
eu tenho essa ideia: Poderia ser possível
bater palmas e ter muita alegria no Japão?
Poderiamos cantar alto e ver isso na HSK?
Eu decidi acreditar que tipo de comunhão
com Deus
é uma experiência que
devemos ter. Então ... quem vai acreditar
nisso comigo? "Os que semeiam em
lágrimas seifarão com gritos de
alegria" (Salmo 126: 5).).
Eu quero dizer novamente como estou
satisfeito com o amor genuíno de todos
para todos os que vêm à nossa igreja pela
primeira vez. É verdade que alguém que
encontramos pela primeira vez nós não
sabemos muito sobre eles. É verdade que
a pessoa que atende pode não ser capaz
de entender o japonês ou Inglês ou
Português. E também é verdade que o
visitante pode ter uma variedade de
expressões, incluindo o medo! Mas eu vi
recentemente isso pela primeira vez: Se eu
sou o primeiro a sorrir e o primeiro a
apertar a mão de um visitante ou dar um
abraço, o visitante fica um pouco mais
tranquilo. O visitante fica um pouco menos
com medo e nervoso...O visitante fica mais
à vontade em conhecer todos da igreja ...
Vamos amar mais e dar mais liberdade ao
amor de Cristo. Não há nenhum medo no
amor ..." (1 João 4:18).
Você já viu alguém que estava um
pouco ansioso sobre sair da área de
estacionamento da igreja sem bater em
outro carro? Por favor, ajude essa pessoa.
A HSK não tem um amplo
estacionamento por isso
alguns pilotos vão precisar
de alguma ajuda. Obrigado.
