Judge Charles B. Renfrew Former U.S. District Court Judge, Deputy U.S. Attorney General Former Corporate Legal Officer, Chevron Corp. Law Offices of Charles B. Renfrew Judge Charles B. Renfrew was a United States District Judge, N.D. Ca., from 1972 to 1980. He then served as Deputy Attorney General of the United States from 1980 until 1981. He has many years of private sector corporate law firm experience, and has served as the top legal officer of Chevron Corporation. He has served as a director and trustee on numerous boards, including as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution. His expertise in ADR includes early neutral evaluation, conciliation, mediation, mini-trial and arbitration, and his law practice is based in San Francisco. Judge Renfrew has served as President of the American College of Trial Lawyers and Vice Chairman of the Antitrust Section of the ABA, and on many bar committees. He was Chairman of the Special Committee to Study the Problem of Discovery of the Federal Judicial Center, and has taught trial advocacy and other courses at Boalt Hall School of Law, UC Berkeley. He has published articles on discovery, fiduciary responsibility, and other issues. Judge Renfrew, a native of Detroit, Michigan, graduated from Michigan Law School (L.L.B. 1956) and Princeton University (B.A. 1952). He served in the Unites States Navy (1946-1948) and was a forward observer in Korea for the United States Army (1952-1953). ____________________________________________________________________________________ O Juiz Charles B.
