Il primo appuntamento è per lunedì 11 giugno alle ore 15 al dipartimento
Universitario di Biochimica e Biofisica della Seconda Università di Napoli nel
complesso di S. Andrea delle dDame nell’omonima piazza partenopea. La settimana
di studi, organizzata in collaborazione con l’Associazione Italiana di colture cellulari
(Aicc), continuerà sino al 15 giugno. Interverranno Gerhard Unteregger
dell’Università tedesca di Homburg (Saarland) e Antonio Giordano, direttore
dell’Istituto statunitense di ricerca sul cancro Sbarro di Philadelphia. A fare gli onori
di casa Michele Caraglia, afferente al dipartimento di Biochimica e Biofisica della
facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia della Seconda Università di Napoli e Marina Di
Domenico e Paola Stiuso. Il corso consentirà ai partecipanti di seguire direttamente
gli esperimenti effettuati presso i laboratori del dipartimento universitario di
Biochimica e Patologia Generale nel Complesso di S. Andrea delle dame nella Napoli
antica e di apprendere attraverso una visione diretta i principi delle metodiche
impiegate. In conclusione. Il corso riassume la più recente tecnologia nella biologia
cellulare tumorale e permetterà ai partecipanti di trasferire queste metodiche presso i
propri laboratori di ricerca allo scopo di aumentarne le capacità di trasferimento delle
novità scientifiche nella pratica clinica.

Though a remarkable mistaken identity of cell lines has become obvious in the past quality
control of cell lines is widely neglected by the scientific community. Nevertheless, in
accordance to a “Good Cell Culture Practice-GCCP”, control of identity and the use of SOP
have become an indispensable prerequisite in the cell culture laboratory. Especially within a
network like the Prostate Cancer Consortium “DPKK” the reliance in the experimental work
of everybody is inevitable. As a consequence the DPKK started a project “Quality control of
prostate cancer cell lines”.

Urologische Netzwerke: Katalysatoren für eine exzellente Forschung
Ziel des Symposiums: Nach 5 Jahre AuF sollte eine wissenschaftliche Bilanz der AuF Arbeit
gezogen und dokumentiert werden. Dafür erscheint es notwendig, nicht grundsätzlich
thematisch sich zu orientieren sondern den Netzwerken in der Urologie die Möglichkeit zu
bieten
* (evtl. sie auch aufzufordern), ihre wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkte in Form von
Vorträgen darzustellen. Es ist nicht beabsichtigt, dass die Netzwerke sich in ihrer
grundsätzlichen Organisationsform darstellen; dies könnte evtl. auch in Form eines Posters
geschehen.
