Nubiola produce Ultramarine in their facilities in Spain, Colombia, Romania and
India. Ultramarines are clean red shade non toxic inorganic pigments with excellent
heat and light fastness. The acid resistant grades are engineered to withstand acidic
environments. Their main application is in food packaging, toy, cosmetics, rubber,
artist paints, coatings, laundry detergents, salt and construction materials. UMB are
widely used as for their blue color space, in white correction (brighten whites when
used at 0.01% to 0.1%) and provide blue undertones for black and gray.
Ultramarines are hydrophilic and when left exposed for an extended period will
absorb moisture up to 1% level. Ultramarines meet a variety of FDA regulations
including: 21 CFR 178.3297; 21 CFR 177.2600; 21 CFR 175.300; 21 CFR 177.1210.
