AHK USA – Ein Starker Partner
Im Verbund der Deutsch-Amerikanischen Handelskammer USA (AHK
USA) präsentieren sich die drei AHKs in Atlanta, Chicago und New
York mit ihren Zweigstellen in Detroit, Houston, Philadelphia und San
Francisco. Mit insgesamt zirka 2.500 Mitgliedern sowie exzellenten
Kontakten zu Unternehmen, staatlichen Institutionen und Verbänden, verfügen die Deutsch-Amerikanischen Handelskammern über
ein weitreichendes, leistungsstarkes Netzwerk. Zu diesem Netzwerk
gehören auch deutsch-amerikanische Wirtschaftsorganisationen, die
den AHKs als „Chapters“ oder „Affiliates“ angeschlossen sind.

Zusätzlich agiert der Delegierte der Deutschen Wirtschaft (RGIT)
mit Sitz in Washington, DC, als Interessenvertretung der deutschen
Wirtschaft gegenüber der US-Regierung und weiteren internationalen Organisationen vor Ort.
Die AHKs sind in Deutschland eng mit dem Netzwerk der deutschen
Industrie- und Handelskammern (IHKs) verbunden. Dachorganisation der IHKs ist der Deutsche Industrie- und Handelskammertag
(DIHK), der in Deutschland für mehr als 3,6 Millionen gewerbliche
Unternehmen spricht und gleichzeitig das AHK-Netzwerk koordiniert und betreut.
Ein Globales Netzwerk
An 126 Standorten in 86 Ländern weltweit bieten deutsche
Auslandshandelskammern (AHKs) ihre Erfahrungen, Verbindungen
und Dienstleistungen deutschen wie ausländischen Unter­­nehmen
an. Ihren Dienstleistungsbereich haben die AHKs weltweit unter
der Marke DEinternational vereinheitlicht. Dabei arbeiten die AHKs
eng mit der Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft der Bundesrepublik
Deutschland zusammen – Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI).

GACCs – A Strong Network
The German American Chambers of Commerce (GACCs) in Atlanta,
Chicago, Detroit, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco
all work together under the network of the GACCs. With approximately 2,500 members and an extensive national and international
business network, the GACCs offer a broad spectrum of activities
and services. Other German American organizations and chapters are
affiliated with the GACCs.
Additionally, our liaison office in Washington, DC, the Representative
of German Industry and Trade (RGIT), represents the interests of the
German business community vis-à-vis both the U.S. administration
and other international organizations based in Washington, DC.
AHKs are closely connected to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) in Germany. The umbrella organization of the IHKs is the
German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK),
which speaks for 3.6 million business enterprises in Germany and also
coordinates and supports the AHKs.
Globally Connected
The German Chamber Network (AHK) provides experience, connections, and services worldwide through 126 locations in 86 countries.
The service portfolio of the AHKs is unified worldwide under the
brand name DEinternational. The AHKs cooperate closely with the
foreign trade and inward investment agency of the Federal Republic
of Germany – Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI).

recommending a selection of qualified properties, as well as an analysis of
the respective communities with respect to the operating cost environment,
demographics, economics, and local incentives.
ADDRESS RESEARCH AND MAILINGS
Compilation and verification of contact profiles of American companies in
your field of interest. Additionally, mailing services are offered to potential
clients, partners, or customers.
BUSINESS PARTNER SEARCH
Identification and establishment of contact to potential U.S. customers,
suppliers, and/or distribution partners, with the goal of introducing your
products/services and arranging appointments with decision makers.
TRADE SHOW SUPPORT
Assistance with selecting relevant trade shows, meeting deadlines, and union
laws specific to each state, coordination of domestic and international shipments, arrangement of trade show appointments with potential customers,
as well as follow-ups. On-site supervision of booth set-up and dismantling as

J-1 VISA
Issuing of the Certificate of Eligibility DS-2019 to students and recent
graduates from postsecondary schools in Germany who will be completing

As the largest energy consumer in the world, the United States is beginning
to focus more on energy efficiency and clean energy. Germany, one of the
leaders in clean technologies, is a natural partner for the U.S.
The GACCs offer expert knowledge in the clean energy sector to assist U.S.
and German companies with market entry and establishment of their business. From conferences, road shows, and business delegation trips to expert
roundtable discussions and major tradeshow networking receptions,
we are regularly organizing programs in both Germany and the U.S.
These programs focus on developments in green technology, including wind,
solar, bioenergy, and energy efficiency. Many of our renewable energy and

Der Delegierte der Deutschen Wirtschaft (RGIT) ist das
Verbindungsbüro des Bundesverbands der Deutschen Industrie
(BDI) und des Deutschen Industrie- und Handelskammertags (DIHK)
in Washington, DC. RGIT verfolgt das Ziel, den transatlantischen
Freihandel zu fördern und günstige wirtschaftliche Rahmenbedingungen für nachhaltiges Wirtschaftswachstum, Arbeitsplätze
und Innovationen in den deutsch-amerikanischen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen zu schaffen. Das Delegiertenbüro besteht seit 1988
und wird vom Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie
im Rahmen der Außenwirtschaftsförderung unterstützt. Es vertritt
die Interessen der deutschen Wirtschaft gegenüber der
amerikanischen Politik, den US-Wirtschaftsverbänden und der
Öffentlichkeit. RGIT gehört zum AHK USA-Netzwerk und arbeitet
eng mit Germany Trade & Invest zusammen.

The Representative of German
Industry and Trade (RGIT) is the
Washington, DC liaison office of the
Federation of German Industries
(BDI) and the Association of German
Chambers of Industry and Commerce
(DIHK). RGIT’s mission is to foster
free trade and a welcoming business
environment on both sides of the Atlantic to achieve sustainable
growth, jobs, and innovation for the German-American economic
relations. Founded in 1988, RGIT is supported by Germany’s Federal
Ministry of Economics and Technology and serves as the voice of
German Industry and Trade towards U.S. politics, American business
organizations, and the general public. RGIT is part of the AHK USA
network and cooperates closely with Germany Trade & Invest.

Aufgabe von Germany Trade and Invest ist das Marketing für den

Germany Trade and Invest’s mission is to promote Germany as a
