Kurzsynopse/ Short Synopsis
Niels Deboos (Aljoscha Stadelmann) hat die Schnauze voll. Eurobonds, Bankenrettung,
Staatsbankrott, Korruption und Kapitalismus - das ganze Elend geht Niels gehörig gegen den
Strich. Er beschließt, der Bundesrepublik Deutschland den Rücken zu kehren. Allerdings
ohne das Land zu verlassen. Stattdessen gelingt es ihm, seinen zunächst verrückt
anmutenden Plan in die Tat umzusetzen. Mit einer Handvoll Verbündeter gründet er vor den
Toren Berlins einen eigenen Staat. Mit eigenen Ministern, eigenem Radio und fragwürdigen
Ideen zur Bekämpfung des demographischen Wandels.
Die sich selbstverwaltende Kommune bleibt nicht lange unbemerkt. Neben Druck und Ärger
von aussen, brodelt es allerdings auch in den eigenen Reihen. Der Showdown bringt Krawall.
Und einen überraschenden Durchbruch.

Niels Deboos (Aljoscha Stadelmann) is fed up to the back teeth. Eruobonds, bankruptcy,
corruption and reinless capitalism – the whole misery goes against the grain for Niels. He
decides, to turn his back on the Federal Republic of Germany. Admittedly, without leaving the
country. Instead, he succeeds to bring his weird plan to life. Together with Christian Darré
(Matthias Bundschuh) and a handful of allies he founds his own state – right outside of Berlin.
With own ministries, an own radio station and dubios ideas against the abatement of the
democraphic change.
The self-organized society doesn ́t stay undiscovered for very long.
But not only from the outside, also from the inside it starts to ferment. The collapse is beyond remedy. And a surprising breakthrough.

Biographie Biography
1979 in Frankfurt geboren, studierte Moritz Laube Philosophie, Psychologie und Neue
Deutsche Literatur von 1997 bis 1999. Von 1998 bis 1999 leistete er seinen Zivildienst am
Sächsischen Klinikum für Psychiatrie und Neurologie. Danach absolvierte er diverse Praktika,
u.a. bei Das Werk Postproduktion Frankfurt und der Produktionsfirma Neue Senitmentalfilm
Berlin. Von 2000 bis 2006 arbeitete er als freischaffender Cutter, u.a. für Wim Wenders. Von
2001 bis 2006 studierte er an der Deutschen Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin Regie. Seit
2006 führte er Regie bei diversen TV-Serbejobs in Deutschland und im Ausland.
Born in 1979 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, Moritz Laube studied philosophy, psychology
and new german literature from 1997 - 1999. 1998 -1999 he held the civil service at the
Saxonian Hospital for Psychiatry und Neurology, followed by various internships, e.g. at Das
Werk Postproduction Frankfurt and film production company Neue Sentimental Film Berlin.
2000 - 2006 he worked as a freelance editor (inter alia for Wim Wenders). 2001 – 2006 he
attended the directing class at Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin. Since 2006 he
directed various TV commercials in Germany and abroad.
