Notes on installation
Die Konfigurationssoftware SOPAS benötigt zur Kommunikation mit einem Gerät eine Gerätedatei „device_yyyymmdd.jar“
(device: z.B. LMS400-XX00; yyyymmdd: Datum). Mit der Datei
wird das Gerät mit neuer Firmware als weiteres, neues Gerät
im Gerätekatalog von SOPAS abgebildet.
Für die Installation der Datei gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:
To communicate with a device the SOPAS configuration
software requires the “device_yyyymmdd.jar“ device file
(device: e.g. LMS400-XX00, yyyymmdd: date). With the help
of this file, the device with new firmware is listed as a new
device in the Device Catalogue of SOPAS.
There are two ways to install the file:

¾ Die unter Windows bereits installierte Version auf der
Festplatte entfernen.
SOPAS schließen und den Deinstaller unter Programme/
SOPAS/Deinstaller aufrufen.
Die bisher erzeugten Projekt- und Konfigurationsdateien
bleiben erhalten sofern keine weitere manuelle Löschung
entsprechender Verzeichnisse vorgenommen wird.
¾ Delete the installed version on your harddisk.
To do so, close SOPAS and start the Deinstaller under
Programs/SOPAS/Deinstaller.
The generated project and configuration files will remain if
no further directories are manually deleted.
¾ Neueste SOPAS-Version von der mitgelieferten CD-ROM
installieren.
Diese enthält bereits die erforderliche Gerätedatei
„device_yyyymmdd.jar“.
Nach dem Start von SOPAS ist das neue Gerät im SOPASGerätekatalog sichtbar.
¾ Install the newest SOPAS version from the supplied CDROM.
This version already comprises the required
“device_yyyymmdd.jar“ device file.
Restart SOPAS. The new device is now listed in the SOPAS
device catalogue.
2. Nachinstallation der Gerätedatei in vorhandene SOPASVersion (ab V2.04)

(from V2.04)
¾ SOPAS schließen.
¾ Close SOPAS.
¾ Die Gerätedatei „device_yyyymmdd.jar“ von der CD-ROM
der neuesten SOPAS-Version (Verzeichnis
„modules\jars\devices“) in das entsprechende Verzeichnis
der vorhandene SOPAS-Installation auf der Festplatte
kopieren (z.B. „Programme\SOPAS\ jars\devices“).
¾ Copy the “device_yyyymmdd.jar“ device file from the CDROM (newest SOPAS version) (directory:
“modules\jars\devices“) into the corresponding directory
of the installed SOPAS program on your harddisk (e.g.
“Programs\SOPAS\ jars\devices“).
¾ SOPAS neu starten.
Das neue Gerät ist nun im SOPAS-Gerätekatalog sichtbar.
¾ Restart SOPAS.
The new device is now listed in the SOPAS device
catalogue.
