We can look back on a successful, active year in 2015 and
jointly look forward to an exciting 2016 with the next
Culinary Olympics. We want to thank you for your trust,
loyalty and the great cooperation.

Who will create the most beautiful pumpkin?

You have until July 31, 2016 to register for the live
vegetable carving competition at the IKA/Culinary
Olympics. You will have three hours to carve unforgettable
creations from pumpkin. In addition to the famous autumn
vegetable, you may use up to five other vegetable
varieties to carve out your beautiful showpieces.
Regardless of profession, age or nationality, anybody who
enjoys using knives and pumpkins may participate in this
competition.
Wer kreiert den schönsten Kürbis?
Bis zum 31.Juli 2016 müssen Sie sich für den LiveGemüseschnitzwettbewerb der IKA/Olympiade der Köche
angemeldet haben. Schnitzen Sie innerhalb von drei
Stunden unvergessliche Anblicke aus Kürbis. Neben
Schnitzkunst aus dem bekannten Herbstgewächs, dürfen
optional bis zu fünf weitere Gemüsesorten genutzt werden.
Unabhängig von Beruf und Alter oder Staatsangehörigkeit
darf Jeder/Jede teilnehmen, der Spaß am Umgang mit
Messern und Kürbis hat.

Have you already booked the hotel accommodation for
your team? Whereabouts in the vicinity of Erfurt will you
prepare your show platters? If it is easy for you to answer
these questions, you should definitely contact Beate
Teichmann at [email protected]. Please tell Mrs.
Teichmann the name of your hotel and the name of your
preparation kitchen.

To ensure all arrangements for the IKA/Culinary Olympics
run smoothly, it is important to know in time if the hotels’
reserved contingencies and preparation kitchen facilities
will actually be used by the culinary teams. The German
Chefs Association (VKD) can only help find hotel rooms and
kitchens if the individual teams get in touch with the VKD’s
office. Of course you can also contact Ms. Teichmann, if
you do not have rooms or kitchens up to now.

Haben Sie schon Hotelzimmer für Ihr Team? Wo werden Sie
in Erfurt und Umgebung Ihre Plattenschau vorbereiten?
Falls Ihnen die Beantwortung dieser beiden Fragen leicht
fällt, sollten Sie unbedingt mit Beate Teichmann
([email protected]) Kontakt aufnehmen. Bitte
teilen Sie Frau Teichmann mit wo Sie übernachten und
welche Küche Sie nutzen.
Für die reibungslose Organisation der IKA/Olympiade der
Köche ist es sehr wichtig frühzeitig zu wissen, inwieweit
das Hotelzimmer- und Vorbereitungsküchen-Kontingent
des VKD von den Mannschaften genutzt wird. Hilfestellung
des VKD bei der Suche nach Zimmern und Küchen ist nur
dann gewährleistet, wenn die einzelnen Teams sich bei der
VKD-Geschäftsstelle melden! Selbstverständlich können
Sie sich auch an Frau Teichmann wenden, wenn Sie noch
keine Zimmer oder Küchen haben.

from the Messe Erfurt ticket store next year. This way, you
won’t miss any of the highlights of the 24th IKA/Culinary
