Smart Belay - Die Revolution im Selbstsicherungsbereich! Nach wie vor
bergen Seilgärten mit herkömmlichen Selbstsicherungen das Risiko,
dass sich Besucher versehentlich komplett aus dem Sicherungssystem
ausklinken. EDELRID schließt diese Sicherheitslücke mit dem revolutionären Smart Belay - einem System miteinander kommunizierender
Rollenkarabiner: Ist der eine Karabiner offen, so erkennt das der andere Karabiner und blockiert - bei produktgerechter Anwendung - den
Öffnungsmechanismus bis der erste Karabiner wieder auf dem Sicherheitsseil eingehängt und verriegelt ist. Erst dann kann bei ordnungsgemäßer Anwendung der andere Karabiner umgehängt werden. Ein
versehentliches Komplettaushängen ist somit praktisch nicht möglich.
Der Vorteil: mehr Sicherheit für die Besucher, weniger Risiko für die
Betreiber. Die Rollen im Karabiner sorgen zudem für ein verschleißarmes Mitführen des Selbstsicherungssystems und ersetzen Doppelrollen. Die herausragende Ergonomie des Smart Belays erlaubt auch
Kinderhänden eine einfache Bedienung. Optional ist das Smart Belay
mit Bandfalldämpfer (6 KN) erhältlich, was in der Regel das Höhensicherungsgerät ersetzen kann.
Smart Belay- A revolution in the self belaying product sector. Belaying
with conventional self protection systems still carries the risk that the
park visitors can completely detach themselves from the safety system.
EDELRID has closed this safety hole with the revolutionary Smart Belay. A system of communicating, interconnected pulley carabiners. If
one carabiner is open the other carabiner realizes this, and - when
being utilized properly - will not open until the other carabiner is clipped and closed on the safety cable. Only then - using the accepted utilization methods - the other carabiner can be unclipped. Therefore an
accidental complete unclipping is virtually impossible. The advantage
is increased safety for the visitor, less risk and more peace of mind for
the operator. The pulley wheels in the carabiner head replace the double pulley, reduce wear and assists easier movement along the cable.
The slick ergonomic design of the Smart Belay allows easy operation
by children and adults alike. The Smart Belay is optionally available
with integrated shock absorber (6 kN) which as a rule can replace other
rescue devices.

Entriegeln: 1.1 - 1.2
Das Entriegeln erfolgt durch Druck auf den grünen Knopf auf der KarabinerRückseite und durch den darauf folgenden Zug am schwarzem Schnapper (Öffnungskraft: für Kinderhände geeignet).

Bei einem geöffneten Karabiner bleibt der andere Karabiner verriegelt. Die
Karabinerkommunikation erfolgt dabei über den speziell ausgelegten Bowdenzug. Der geöffnete Karabiner wird nun auf das Sicherungsseil ein- bzw.
umgehängt.

Nun kann der zweite Karabiner, wie vorab beschrieben, geöffnet und ins Stahlsicherungsseil eingehängt und verriegelt werden 2.1 - 2.4.
Sind beide Karabiner geschlossen, befindet sich das Smart Belay-System in
der Neutralstellung, d.h. einer von beiden Karabinern lässt sich öffnen (Richtungsunabhängigkeit im Parcours zwischen den Übungen). Die weitere Selbstsicherung des Teilnehmers erfolgt fortlaufend nach dem oben beschriebenen
EUV-Prinzip.

Der eingehängte Karabiner wird durch Zug am Karabiner nach unten verriegelt. Es erfolgt ein, auch für den Trainer am Boden deutlich vernehmbares
„Klick“-Geräusch. Zudem ist auch der Hebel sichtbar geschlossen und ermöglicht eine optische Kontrolle auch aus der Entfernung.

One carabiner is unlocked by applying pressure with the thumb to the green
button followed by squeezing the black trigger with the fingers (the pressure
required is low and suitable for children).

While one carabiner is open the other remains locked and cannot be opened.
The carabiner communication takes place using a specially designed internal
cable. The open carabiner can be transfered to the safety cable.
The second carabiner can now be opened and attached to the safety cable and
locked 2.1 - 2.4.
When both carabiners are closed, the Smart Belay system is in the neutral
position, i.e. either one of the carabiners can be opened (allows directional
freedom of movement on the course and between exercises). Self-belaying and
moving through the course by the participant comes naturally using the UTR
Principle.

The carabiner can be locked by pulling down the carabiner. In addition to the
visible closure of the lever there is a clearly audible „clicking“ sound (also
useful for the coach on the ground).

Transport
Das Smart Belay gehört zur persönlichen Schutzausrüstung (PSA) eines jeden Teilnehmers und ist daher stets
vor Schmutz, Staub und Feuchtigkeit zu schützen.
Ist das Smart Belay durch den Besucher kurzzeitig nicht in Gebrauch, empfiehlt EDELRID für den Transport im
Park die Smart Belay–Holster. Alternativ kann das Smart Belay auch über die Schultern gelegt werden.
Transport
The Smart Belay belongs to the personal protective equipment of the participant and should be protected from
dust and humidity.
Is the user temporary not using the Smart Belay EDELRID recommends for transport by course participants the
Smart Belay Holster. Alternatively, the Smart Belay can also be placed over the shoulders. Both techniques are
used to keep the Smart Belay off the ground.
Mitführen im Park
Für das korrekte Mitführen im Parcours sind beide Karabiner geschlossen, das Smart Belay wird auf einer
Seite am Kopf vorbei, vor dem Körper, zwischen den Armen geführt. Es sollte darauf geachtet werden dass die
Äste des Verbindungsmittels parallel zueinander laufen und in sich nicht verdreht sind.
Carrying
The proper method of carrying or moving the Smart Belay on the course is with both carabiners closed. The
Smart Belay should be to one side of the head and in front of the body. Take care that the arms run parallel
to each other and don’t become twisted. Forcible or violent pulling of or jumping into the lanyard should be
forbidden.
Seilrutsche
Das Smart Belay kann zudem als Doppelrollsystem für Seilrutschen eingesetzt werden. Hier zeichnet es sich
vor allem durch seine hohe Laufruhe aus. Die Sicherungsmethode erfolgt wie in allen anderen Aktionssystemen nach dem EUV-Prinzip. Vor dem Start ist darauf zu achten, dass beide Karabiner geschlossen, die Äste des
Verbindungsmittels parallel zueinander laufen und in sich nicht verdreht sind. Vor dem Start sollte sich der
Teilnehmer mit Sorgfalt ins Gurtsystem setzen und somit Zug auf das Verbindungsmittel aufbauen, anschließend kann der Start der Seilrutsche selbständig erfolgen.
Zip Line
The Smart Belay can also be used as a double pulley system for zip lines. Here the Smart Belay excels by
running smoothly on the steel cable. The safety and self belay method is as with all other elements, done by
applying the UTR principle. Before start always make sure that both carabiners are closed, the lanyard leashes
run parallel to each other and don’t become twisted. Before starting the participant should sit in the harness
slowly weighting the system then the start can follow independently.

Das Belay Kit ist das erste Verbindungsmittel auf Basis einer CE- zertifizierten 16 mm- Bandkonstruktion, welches genau wie das Smart Belay
als modulares System (Baukastenprinzip) erhältlich ist. Es lässt sich
somit individuell an die speziellen Bedürfnisse der jeweiligen Seilparkkonstruktionen anpassen. Der EDELRID Conecto ermöglicht das einfache Austauschen der Module. Der Bandfalldämpfer (6kN) kann in der

Die Radialis-Serie wurde speziell für die Anwendung in modernen
Abenteuer- und Waldseilparks entwickelt. Hierbei wurde besonders
auf schnelles und einfaches An- und Ausziehen, sowie kinderleichte
Verstellbarkeit bei einem großen Einstellbereich Wert gelegt. Gefertigt
aus extrem strapazierfähigem 45 mm Polyamidband sind die Gurte der
Radialis Serie für den harten Einsatz im kommerziellen Betrieb bestens
geeignet. Für doppelte Sicherheit sorgen die Bandendvernähungen. Sie
verhindern, dass die Schnallen komplett ausgefädelt werden können
und sorgen für einen allzeit korrekten Band-Schnallen-Verlauf. Der Radialis Click lässt sich durch eine Click-Lock Schnalle zwischen Hüft und

The Radialis range of harnesses was specially developed for use in modern adventure and tree rope parks. Care was taken to see that the harnesses are easy to put on, remove, and adjust whilst a large adaptability
range was also an important factor. The harnesses are manufactured
from tough 45 mm nylon webbing which is ideal for the hard use encountered in commercial use. The double sewn ends provide extra safety preventing the buckles from being completely unthreaded. Radialis

Das Deus 8300 ist ein hochtechnologisches Ein-Personen-Abseilgerät
zum wiederholten gebremsten Abfahren oder zum redundanten Sichern
bei der Verwendung von anderen Abseilgeräten. Das nach EN 341 Klasse
A geprüfte Abseilgerät ist für ein Gewicht von 30 bis 150 kg ausgelegt
und ermöglicht ein Abseilen aus großen Höhen bis maximal 150 m. Der
aufklappbare Gehäusedeckel ermöglicht einen einfachen und schnellen
Seilaustausch ohne Eingriff in die Gerätetechnik. Dies macht das DEUS
8300 zum idealen Partner für den stationären Einsatz in Hochseilgärten
und Abenteuerparks.
Das Deus 8300 wurde mit dem EDELRID Performance Static 12 mm zertifiziert und darf nur mit diesem Seil verwendet werden. Die hochwertige

The Deus 8300 is a high-tech one-person rappel device for repeated braking use whilst descending or as a redundant back up when using other
descenders. This is a EN 341 Class A approved rappel device for a user
weight of between 30 to 150 kg and enables descent from heights of up to
150 m. The hinged lid provides easy and quick rope replacement without
having to open the device completely. This makes the Deus 8300 the ideal
partner for stationary use in high-ropes courses and adventure parks.
The Deus Deus 8300 has been certified with the EDELRID Perforemance
Static II 12 mm and may only be used with this rope. This high-grade
Kern Mantle construction with braided core has highlight features such
as low elongation and high static strength. Available with certified rope
