Munich is home to global players such as seven of the top blue-chip companies listed in the DAX 30 index (Allianz, BMW, Infineon, Linde, Munich Re, ProSiebenSat1Media and Siemens), but also to a broad spectrum of small and medium-sized enterprises, many of which are hidden champions in their chosen industries. In total, some 94,600 companies do business in the Bavarian capital. Foreign trade between Bavaria and India has plotted a volatile curve in recent years.
