The problem
An existing CNC woodworking centre with
console table was equipped by the
manufacturer with the vacuum clamping
system VC-K2 from Schmalz. In order to
improve the existing application flexibility
for production of a very wide range of one-
off and small-batch parts, the customer
wished to purchase an additional vacuum
clamping system.

The solution
The factory-installed vacuum clamping
system VC-K2 from Schmalz uses one
vacuum circuit to hold the suction blocks in
position, to prevent them from moving
during workpiece handling, and a second
vacuum circuit to clamp the suction blocks
and the workpieces securely to the
consoles.
The extension of this system with the
Schmalz vacuum clamping system
Innospann not only offers benefits in
clamping and handling. It also permits the
use of a combination of both systems,
resulting in much faster conversion and
thus in the desired conversion and
application flexibility. At the same time, the
non-productive idle times are reduced to a
minimum.

Aufgabenstellung
Das vorhandene CNC-Holzbearbeitungszentrum mit Konsolentisch wurde
werksseitig mit dem Vakuum-Aufspannsystem VC-K2 von Schmalz ausgestattet.
Um die vorhandene Anwendungs- und
Nutzungsflexibilität für die sehr große
Teilevielfalt in der Einzel- und KleinserienFertigung noch weiter zu erhöhen, soll ein
zusätzliches Vakuum-Aufspannsystem
angeschafft werden.

Die Lösung
Bei dem werksseitig installierten VakuumAufspannsystem VC-K2 von Schmalz
werden die Blocksauger mittels Vakuum
über den 1. Kreis fixiert, um diese gegen
das Verschieben beim WerkstückHandling zu sichern. Der 2. Kreis sorgt für
das sichere Ansaugen der Blocksauger
und Werkstücke auf den Konsolen.
Die Nachrüstung dieses Systems mit dem
Schmalz Vakuum-Aufspannsystem
Innospann bietet nicht nur spann- und
handhabungstechnische Vorzüge, sondern
es lässt sich auch im Mix-Betrieb einsetzen und sehr schnell umrüsten, so dass
zum einen die gewünschte Umrüst- und
Nutzungs-Flexibilität gewährleistet ist und
zum anderen die unproduktiven Nebenzeiten auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren sind.
