haus ungarn is the perfect eventspace close by the alexanderplatz. modern elements meet berlin east charme. a large foyer covered with wood panels, an old cinema room, a gallery, some
workspaces and a terrasse witha direct view to the tv tower. the rooms give you the possibility to
celebrate, present or to have buisness meetings. it doesn‘t matter if you are an event agencies,
a hibitor, musician or private Person – the rooms work with 50 persons as good as with groups
up to 1.200 persons.

the foyer is an multi functional room. 5.000m signal cable in the ceiling for sound and lightning,
a flexible rigging system and a new 6m long sliding window front allowing a wide variety of useful
variants of the room. depending on how to use the space the vertical columns can be separated
horizontallythe partitions can then be used as a decorative element or as a projection surface.
a lounge area with a view on the TV tower, a built in central bar, an additional mobile bar, and
direct kitchen access guarantee short distances for drinks and food.
cinema
the cinema room boasts reclaimed herringbone parquet and the original wood paneling from the
founding times. in the cinema is pre-installed sound, light system, a fixed bar and a stage. the
space is, similar to the foyer, highly flexible in its use. dance events, gala dinner, small get-togethers, concerts, fashion shows or film screenings can be implemented easily. in addition to
the optical advantages of wood paneling, are the acoustic characteristics of the room. the newly
built fully, equipped backstage room with private stage access is perfect for any artist or even
the agencies to have its own production office.
gallery
the gallery consists of four spaces located in the back of haus ungarn. these rooms can be used
either separately via a private entrance with own sanitary facilities or in combination with the
entire location. 4.5 m high ceilings, white walls, open window fronts with a view to the marienkirche and the tv tower, a small balcony and large old ventilating pipes running through the ceiling
additional to the classical use as a gallery space, one can use these bright rooms especially for
meetings and workshops.

implementation works. the spindler&klatt kitchen ensures a varied kitchen with nine years of
event experience. every customer wish will be realized by the kitchen team such as buffet, finger
food, bbq or gala dinner.

history
the name of the event area comes from the time before liberation. hungarian cultural institute
opened in 1973 and was focused on a cultural and not in the scientific area. the cultural institute was used as showcase in the DDR. quickly it developed as a place for. dissenting and different
intellectual sentient. after the wall falls, visitors where able to bye spezialties at the cafe zsolnay
afterwards they could see 9.000 books in either german or hungarian. shortly after the fall of
the wall meetings took place with the topic „the way of economic integration “
