2013 was an EPIC year in so many ways with more students
attending our courses than ever before!
The Easter course was enjoyed by all of the students and many of
them chose to stay with us in the summer too. We have a great
offer for all students who are planning to attend the Easter course in
2014 – book the first week and get the second week at half price!
The two week course includes a minimum of 15 hours of English
classes per week as well as trips to both Oxford and London.
2013 was the first year we had our beautiful new campus at King’s
Bruton, which was loved by all who stayed there. We look forward
to the addition of Academy Drama, Academy Etiquette, Academy
Photography, Academy Young Adventurers, Academy Young
Leaders and Pre-University English to our programme at King’s Bruton

in 2014.
Our creative academies were popular with our students once again.
Many of the Academy Rock students had the chance to show
off their skills at the fantastic Rock Festival held at Millfield – an
outdoors event which brought all of our campuses together for a
great evening.
The new academies at Millfield Junior Campus were enjoyed by all
who took part in them and in 2014 we will be adding Academy
Junior Tennis to the extensive list of choices already available for our
younger students.
I hope you enjoy looking through this brochure and we look forward
to welcoming students to one of our three amazing campuses very
soon. With more choices available for students than ever before,

Easter Courses at Millfield (12 - 17 years)
For two weeks during the Easter holiday students can experience the Millfield mix of education, friendship and fun. Older and younger students may
occasionally be accepted - please contact our course administrators to discuss this. For 2014 we are offering students the wonderful opportunity
to book the first week and get the second week at half price. Students staying for two weeks will also have excursions to both London and Oxford
free of charge.

This choice is ideal for students hoping to start full time education

Cultural and Sightseeing Trips and Excursions
Start the Millfield experience with an Early Bird Week under the guidance
of qualified and professional staff in a safe environment.
Younger students (6 - 11 years) will be based at Millfield Junior Campus
where they will study 15 hours of English during the week in the mornings
and enjoy adventurous outdoor pursuits in the afternoons and evenings
including Forest School and camping.
Older students (12 - 17 years) will also study 15 hours of English during
the week in the mornings and will be based at Lady Margaret Hall in
Oxford. They will then have the chance to explore the historic city in the
afternoons and evenings.

We can offer airport transfers for an extra fee or students can travel by
their own arrangements. For students choosing the Discover Oxford Early
Bird Week, please note that Oxford is two hours away from the county
of Somerset where the Millfield Junior Campus is based.

varying amount of time with 2, 3, 4 and 6 week options available.
There is also a 7 week option available if students attend the Early Bird
Week. There are 2 campuses available for students aged 12 - 17
years and the Millfield Junior Campus for students aged 6 - 11 years.

Each student will receive a Course and Vocabulary Organiser, written by Mark Greenow, which is an essential part of the academic programme
and used in every lesson. It is a “thinking notebook” with sections for each part of the English learning experience. It also includes a diary, which
students are encouraged to complete, a mini-dictionary and poly pockets for storing postcards, class copies etc. making each student’s
learning experience unique.
