We decided not to be mere spectators of this process but its agents, to question and understand this change.” The collective organise small artistic interventions at Portoʼs public spaces. During two years 10 worked with: Carla Filipe Carlos Barros, Miguel Bonneville, Catarina Carneiro de Sousa, Ângelo Ferreira de Sousa, Luís Eustáquio, Ricardo Quaresma Vieira and Valter Pratas. Was active in the public space, organised home dinners for ʻstrangersʼ and performative auctions. SWITCH METAPHORS – Art as a tool. Carla Cruz (PT), Nina Hoechtl (A), Suzanne van Rossenberg (NL), and Francesco Ventrella (IT), propose to discuss if (and how) art can be a tool to disintegrate or subvert hetero normative power structures. Each of us with its won practise (artistic, curatorial or theoretical) is confronted with the pre-established parameters that determine our art practise. We try to find ways of working with those same parameters, or to avoid them or still to redefine them. This options influence our position (economical) on the different art circuits. 11
