HISTORY:
With a total area of around 150 hectares this centuries old winery is located in the Douro Superior
in an area called Vila Nova de Foz Côa. With 45 acres of vine, the most we have planted recently,
Quinta dos Quatro Ventos Reserva is only produced in exceptional years.
PROFILE:
The 2007 harvest was a fantastic year not only for Quinta dos Quatro Ventos Reserva 2007 but for
the Douro region in general. The rainfall guaranteed enough water for an ideal maturation for the
grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. The wine is fermented in stainless
steel and then aged 12 months in French and Russian oak barrels .

TASTING NOTES:
Concentrated garnet color. Aromas of red fruits very evident with soft nuances of tobacco and
dark chocolate. Smooth mouth feel with fruity and toasty notes. Structured but elegant with a very
persistent finish.
GASTRONOMY:
Goes well with roasted red meats.
