Siqueira Castro Advogados has helped Brazilian telecommunications company Furukawa
Industrial Produtos Eléctricos sell its subsidiary Engenharia de Sistemas e Soluções (ESS) to
energy company IG – Transmissão e Distribuição de Energia Elétrica (IG-TD).
IG-TD relied on in-house counsel for the deal, which closed on 15 May. The company paid an
undisclosed amount for 100 per cent of the shares in the optical cable installation subsidiary.
