WANTED: NEW MEMBERS
The St. Francis de Sales Craft Group is looking for new
members. We meet every Monday morning from 9:30–11:30
in the O’Leary Room at the Parish Center. We are involved in
many projects throughout the year. Most of our efforts are
directed to provide items of interest which we sell at our
yearly Holiday Bazaar. Proceeds are donated to many worthy
Parish organizations, some of which are: scholarships for
deserving seniors, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, lunches
for the homeless, and many more. We welcome anyone who
may be interested in joining us. Come and share your talents
with us. We have fun!
SPANISH CLASS
The Tuesday morning Spanish class has completed another year. We will resume the Spanish class next September. Do not forget to check the bulletin for new information.
¡Gracias!
¡Hasta la vista, amigos!
PRAYER GROUP
The St. Francis de Sales Charismatic
Prayer Group will have a member in the Parents’ Room in the back of the church every
Thursday following the 8:00 AM Mass to pray
with anyone who would like additional
prayers.
On Thursday nights at 7:00 PM the St. Francis de Sales
Charismatic Prayer Group meets in room four of the Parish
Center. We sing and praise the Lord. If you and your family
would like to learn more about the joy that comes from a
greater knowledge and closeness to the Holy Spirit, please
join us. For information, contact Judy Franklin at 722-6288.
PRAY THE ROSARY!
Join us in praying the Rosary before the
8:00 AM Mass, Monday through Saturday,
from 7:20 to 7:40 AM. All are invited to join
us. For more information, call Catherine
Magee at 296-1963.
The Knights of Columbus, Council
#6848, which meets at St. Francis de
Sales, invites all visiting Knights to our
council meetings conducted every second
and fourth Thursday of the month (except
holidays). Our meetings are held in the
Knights of Columbus room (located directly
to the west of the stage) at 7:00 PM.
K OF C — ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE
The Knights of Columbus will continue
picking up aluminum cans in the back-eastside of the gymnasium building on the third
Saturday of each month, from 9:00 AM to
10:30 AM. If you have a large amount of
cans, call Joe Proietti at 885-5908 to have
them picked up at your location.

USHERS STILL NEEDED
St. Francis de Sales is in desperate need of ushers for the
noon Sunday Mass. Being an usher is more than just administering the collection. Ushers are responsible for ensuring
that our church is hospitable to everyone. We are the Parish
greeters, we pass out the bulletins, we seat those who require
assistance, etc.
Please consider volunteering to act as an usher, either as
a permanent addition or as a fill-in when necessary. Please
contact Eric Abt at 721-4536 or one of the ushers at the Mass
you normally attend.
JURY DUTY VS. SUNDAY MASS?
The following is the dress code for jury duty in
Pima County:
“The temperature of the jury assembly areas and
courtrooms can be unpredictable. Jurors are encouraged to dress accordingly. Mini skirts, shorts,
skorts, tank tops, halters, and rubber sandals are
not permitted. If you should appear wearing these
items, you may be required to return home at your
own expense to change to more suitable attire or you
may be given a new report date.”
IN DESPERATE NEED OF A KIDNEY
My name is Diane White. I would like to express my
heartfelt gratitude to those Parishioners who have come
forward to offer to give me a kidney. Unfortunately, there has
not been a match as of yet. I have type O blood and the
kidney donor must also have type O blood.
The donor's medical expenses would be fully covered by
my insurance. If someone is willing to be tested, the contact
information is:
Annette Whinery, RN
Kidney Transplant Coordinator
University Medical Center, Tucson
520-694-7365
Please mention my name, Diane White, when calling.
Thank you, and may God bless you and your loved ones with
health and happiness.
We remember in our prayers Daniella Parra. May Eternal
Light shine upon all who have died.

WEEKLY FAMILY PRAYER
Many of you have participated in a program of daily recitation of the Rosary for
the intentions of all families. This includes
a statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, which
is passed from family to family each week.
The statue of our Lady is to stay in
each home for a period of seven days.
The host family will pray the Rosary every
day along with the meditation for each
day. Then the statue will go to the next
person on the schedule. There is a notebook that goes along with the statue. The
notebook contains special prayers and the meditations for
each day.
If you are interested, the sign-up sheet is in the vestibule of
the church. Please enter your name and telephone number
for the week you desire. The statue and book are to be returned to the Parish Center on Mondays so the next family
can pick them up.
CATHOLIC SCHOOL TUITION ASSISTANCE
St. Augustine Catholic High School has Corporate Tax
Credit tuition assistance immediately available for qualified
students entering or transferring from a public/charter school
into high school. If you are interested in an excellent college
prep program at a quality Catholic school, call Teresa Baker
or Velma Titone at St. Augustine Catholic High School, 7518300, for more information.
CATHOLIC COMMUNITY SERVICES
At Mass today, we have the wonderful story of the Good
Samaritan, the unlikely alien to the Jewish establishment who
reached out and cared for the man who had fallen among
thieves.
There are so many stories like the Good Samaritan in the
daily life of the agencies and program services at Catholic
Community Services. You can help us touch lives through
your prayers and support. Call 623-0344 for ways in which
you may be Good Samaritans.
YOU CAN HELP YOUR MARRIAGE
Do you feel alone? Are you frustrated or angry with each
other? Do you argue … or have you just stopped talking to
each other? Does talking about it only make it worse?
Retrouvaille helps couples through difficult times in their
marriages. This program has helped thousands of couples
experiencing difficulties in their marriage.
For confidential information or to register for the program,
beginning with a weekend on August 3-5, call Kevin or Kathie
