BRABUS Supercars gehören seit fast vier Jahrzehnten zur weltweiten automobilen
Elite. Mit dem neuen BRABUS ROCKET 900 Coupé auf Basis des Mercedes S 65
wird diese Tradition nahtlos fortgesetzt.

dem Markt. Bei nur 5.500 U/min leistet der aufgeladene Zwölfzylinder 662 kW /
900 PS. Das maximale Drehmoment liegt bei 1.500 Nm bei 4.200 Touren, wird
aber im Fahrzeug zugunsten der Langlebigkeit der Kraftübertragung elektronisch
auf 1.200 Nm limitiert.
Die Verwandlung des V12 Biturbo aus dem Spitzenmodell der S-Klasse startet im
mit modernsten Bearbeitungsmaschinen ausgerüsteten BRABUS Motorenbau.
Erster Schritt ist die Hubraumerweiterung von serienmäßigen 6,0 auf 6,3 Liter.
Darüber hinaus wird die Peripherie des Triebwerks mit maßgeschneiderten Hochleistungskomponenten wie beispielsweise größeren BRABUS Spezialturboladern
und einem neu konstruierten Ansaugtrakt aufgerüstet.
Das BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupé erreicht Fahrleistungen, die nur von wenigen
Sportwagen der Spitzenklasse erzielt werden können. Von 0-100 km/h katapultiert sich der 2+2-Sitzer in nur 3,7 Sekunden. Tempo 200 wird bereits nach nur
9,1 Sekunden erreicht. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit liegt bei über 350 km/h.
Darauf abgestimmt ist der BRABUS Tachometer mit Skalenendwert 400 km/h.
Mit ausgedehnten Tests auf dynamischen Motorprüfständen und in der Fahrerprobung wurden spezielle Kennfelder für Einspritzung und Zündung entwickelt,
die die Hochleistungskomponenten optimal aufeinander abstimmen. MOTUL
liefert die Hightech-Schmierstoffe für den kompletten Antriebsstrang.
Die enorm hohen Geschwindigkeiten stellen selbstverständlich auch besonders
hohe Ansprüche an die neuen, wie im Rennsport aus Carbon gefertigten Aerodynamikteile, für die die BRABUS Designer umfangreiche Windkanaltests unternahmen.

BRABUS supercars have been part of the automotive world elite for almost four
decades. The new BRABUS ROCKET 900 Coupe based on the Mercedes S 65
continues this tradition seamlessly.
The transformation of the twin-turbo V12 from the top-of-the-range model starts
in the BRABUS engine shop equipped with state-of-the-art processing machines.
The first step is the displacement increase from the stock 6.0 to 6.3 liters (366 to
384 cu. in.). In addition, the engine peripherals are upgraded with tailor-made
high-performance components such as larger BRABUS special turbochargers
and a newly designed intake manifold.
The special mapping for injection and ignition is the result of extensive tests on
dynamic engine test benches and road tests, which coordinate the perfect interaction of the high-performance components. MOTUL supplies the high-performance lubricants for the entire powertrain.
Collectively, all these measures make the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twinturbo increased-displacement engine one of the most potent power units on the
market. The turbocharged twelve-cylinder engine is rated at 662 kW / 900 HP
(887 bhp) at a low 5,500 rpm. The engine produces a peak torque of 1,500 Nm
(1,106 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm, but in the interest of the longevity of the powertrain it is
limited electronically to 1,200 Nm (884 lb-ft).
The BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupe delivers performance equaled by only a few
top-class sports cars. The 2+2-seater accelerates from zero to 100 km/h
(62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds and reaches a speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) after
just 9.1 seconds. The top speed is in excess of 350 km/h (217 mph), a fact
accounted for by the BRABUS speedometer whose scale ends at 400 km/h
(250 mph).
These tremendously high rates of speed of course also place especially high demands on the new aerodynamic-enhancement components, which like in motor
racing are manufactured from carbon and underwent extensive wind tunnel
testing conducted by the BRABUS designers.

BRABUS ROCKET 900 Coupé
Aufregendes Design, höchste Qualität und ein weiterer Zuwachs an Fahrdynamik
sind die herausragenden Eigenschaften der BRABUS Monoblock Räder, die auf
dem BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupé wahlweise in 20, 21 oder 22 Zoll Durchmesser gefahren werden können. Als optimale Bereifung werden Hochleistungspneus von Continental, Pirelli oder YOKOHAMA montiert.
BRABUS fine leather Interieur ausgestattet. In den beiden Farbtönen Hellbraun
und Magnolia setzte es zusammen mit beigefarbenen Nähten und Biesen im Ton
„Feuer“ einen sportlich-eleganten Kontrast zur schwarzen Außenfarbe. Individuell
für dieses BRABUS Supercar angefertigt wurden auch die umbrafarbenen Edelholz-Intarsien mit offenporigen Oberflächen.
Speziell abgestimmt auf die sportlichen Niederquerschnittsreifen ist das BRABUS
Tieferlegungsmodul, mit dem die Karosserie des Zweitürers um ca. 15 Millimeter
abgesenkt wird.
Das BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupé ist wahlweise als Komplettfahrzeug erhältlich
oder kann auf Basis jedes aktuellen Mercedes S 65 Coupés aufgebaut werden.
Das erste BRABUS ROCKET 900 Coupé, das auf dem Genfer Auto Salon 2016
seine viel beachtete Weltpremiere feierte, war mit einem besonders exklusiven
Kraftstoffverbrauch, CO2 Emissionen und Effizienzklasse: BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupé auf Basis Mercedes S 65 Coupé:
innerorts 17,1 l/100 km, außerorts 8,6 l/100 km, kombiniert: 11,9 l/100 km. CO2 Emissionen, kombiniert: 279 g/km, Effizienzklasse F.

A thrilling design, maximum quality and even further enhanced driving dynamics
are the outstanding traits of the BRABUS Monoblock wheels, which can be
mounted on the BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupe with diameters of 20, 21 or
22 inches. BRABUS installs the optimal high-performance tires from Continental,
Pirelli and YOKOHAMA.
The BRABUS ride-height lowering module is specifically calibrated to these
sporty low-profile tires. It lowers the ride-height of the two-door car by about
15 millimeters (.6 in).

paint finish. The umbra-colored precious-wood inlays with open-pore surfaces
were also a custom-made for this BRABUS supercar.
The BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupe is available as a complete car or can be built
based on any current Mercedes S 65 Coupe.
The first BRABUS ROCKET 900 Coupe, which celebrated its high-profile debut at
the Geneva Motor Show 2016, was fitted with an especially exclusive BRABUS
Fuel economy, CO2 emissions and efficiency class: BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupe based on the Mercedes S 65 Coupe:
city 17.1 l/100 km, highway 8.6 l/100 km, combined: 11.9 l/100 km. Combined CO2 emissions: 279 g/km, efficiency class F.

BRABUS auf dem Genfer Auto Salon 2016
N ach einem langen Winter wird der Genfer Auto Salon jedes Jahr mit
großer Spannung erwartet. Auch für uns ist die wichtigste jährliche Automobilmesse der Welt seit Jahrzehnten der erste Fixtermin auf dem weltweiten BRABUS „Tourneeplan“.
Auch im März 2016 war der Andrang wieder riesengroß: 687.000 Besucher und mehr als 10.000 Medienvertreter läuteten mit uns den neuen
Autofrühling ein. Wie seit Jahrzehnten war der BRABUS Stand wieder
Treffpunkt für unsere Kunden aus aller Welt, die wichtigsten Repräsentanten der Automobilbranche und für zahllose VIP-Gäste aus Entertainment, Sport, Politik und Wirtschaft.
Aus jahrzehntelanger Tradition präsentierten wir natürlich auch in diesem Jahr wieder einige aufsehenerregende Weltpremieren wie das auf
den vorherigen Seiten vorgestellte BRABUS 900 ROCKET Coupé, eine
478 kW / 650 PS starke High Performance Version des Mercedes C 63 S
oder eine erste veredelte Variante des GLE 63.
Eher ungewöhnlich für einen Auftritt auf dem Genfer Auto Salon 2016
präsentierte unsere BRABUS Classic Division vier von Grund auf neu
aufgebaute Mercedes-Benz Oldtimer. Das Portfolio reichte von einem
Mercedes 300 SL Roadster über zwei Mercedes 280 SL der W 113
„Pagode“ Baureihe bis zu einem Mercedes 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet der
W 111 Serie.
Ständig vom Publikum umlagert war auch die von BRABUS ZERO
EMISSION aufwendig veredelte Variante des Tesla Model S. STARTECH,
ebenfalls Mitglied unserer weit gefächerten BRABUS Group, zeigte in
Genf zum ersten Mal eine exklusiv veredelte Version des Bentley Continental GT V8 Speed.
BRABUS at the Geneva Motor Show 2016
A fter a long winter, the world every year eagerly awaits the Geneva
Motor Show. The most important auto show of the year has also been the
first fixed date on our global BRABUS “tour schedule” for decades.
The rush was huge once more in March 2016: 687,000 visitors and more
than 10,000 media representatives rang in the new automotive spring
with us. As it has been for decades, the BRABUS exhibit was again the
meeting point for our customers from around the world, for the most
important representatives of the automotive industry and for countless VIP guests from the worlds of entertainment, sports, politics and
business.
Following a decade-long tradition, we of course presented a number of
spectacular world premieres. They included the BRABUS 900 ROCKET
Coupe featured on the preceding pages, a high-performance version of

the Mercedes C 63 S pumping out 478 kW / 650 HP (641 bhp) and the
first refined variant of the GLE 63.
In a move that is rather unusual for a presentation at the Geneva Motor
Show, our BRABUS Classic Division put four vintage Mercedes-Benz cars
rebuilt from the ground up on display. The lineup ranged from a Mercedes
300 SL Roadster and two Mercedes 280 SLs of the W 113 “Pagoda”
model series to a Mercedes 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet of the W 111 series.
Also constantly surrounded by throngs of people was the Tesla Model S
elaborately refined by BRABUS ZERO EMISSION.
STARTECH, likewise a member of our diverse BRABUS Group, displayed
an exclusively refined version of the Bentley Continental GT V8 Speed for
the first time.

Willkommen im BRABUS Testcenter!
BRABUS bietet die weltweit größte Palette an Leistungssteigerungen und Hubraummotoren für Mercedes-Benz Automobile an. Im Gegensatz zum Angebot unserer meisten Mitbewerber sind alle BRABUS Triebwerke eigene Entwicklungen.
Dabei können unsere Ingenieure und Techniker für Abstimmung und Erprobung
auf modernste Prüfstandtechnologie zurückgreifen.
Wir wollen Sie in dieser Ausgabe der BRABUS NEWS auf eine exklusive Tour in
unser Motorentestcenter mitnehmen, zu dem normalerweise nur wenige ausgesuchte Mitarbeiter unserer Entwicklungsabteilung eine Zugangsberechtigung
besitzen.
Nach der Konstruktion mit Hilfe modernster CAD- und Simulationstechnologie
und der Fertigung der ersten Prototypenteile bauen die erfahrensten Spezialisten
in unserem modernen Motorenbau die ersten Testmotoren auf. Diese Triebwerke,
vor nunmehr zwei Jahren auch unser derzeit stärkstes BRABUS Kraftwerk, der
BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 Biturbo Hubraummotor auf Basis der aktuellen
Mercedes 600 und 65 Modelle, kommen dann in unser streng abgeschirmtes
Testcenter.
Dort steht ein hochmoderner Prüfpark für Abstimmung, Leistungsoptimierung
und ein umfangreiches Testprogramm zur Verfügung. Auf drei stationären Testsystemen und zwei Rollenprüfständen werden die Motoren dann auf Herz und
Nieren geprüft.
Zuerst einmal wird jedes neu aufgebaute Triebwerk mit Hilfe spezieller Software,
die den normalen Straßenverkehr bei steigernder Belastung simuliert, auf einem
stationären Prüfstand sorgfältig eingefahren. Immer dabei: Die Hochleistungsschmierstoffe unseres Technologiepartners MOTUL.

Danach geht es an die Feinabstimmung des elektronischen Motormanagements
um die perfekten Kennfelder für Einspritzung und Zündung zu programmieren
und bei turbogeladenen Triebwerken die Ladedrucksteuerung zu modifizieren.
Ist dann nach vielen Testläufen in unterschiedlichen Konfigurationen eine optimale Symbiose aus maximaler Performance, enorm kraftvoller aber dennoch
harmonischer Leistungsentfaltung und Umweltverträglichkeit gefunden, trennen
sich die Wege der Testtriebwerke: Während ein Triebwerk auf einem stationären
Prüfstand, der für bis zu 800 kW / 1088 PS starke Motoren ausgelegt ist, in die
Langzeiterprobung geht, werden die anderen Motoren des gleichen Typs in verschiedene Erprobungsautos installiert.
Je nach Modell werden Sie dann auf einer AVL Scheitelrolle für zweiradgetriebene Fahrzeuge oder auf einem MAHA Allradprüfstand, die beide für bis zu

Welcome to the BRABUS Test Center!
BRABUS offers the world’s most extensive lineup of performance upgrades and increased-displacement engines for Mercedes-Benz automobiles. Contrary to most
of our competitors, all BRABUS engines are in-house developments. To this end,
our engineers and technicians have state-of-the-art test bench technology at their
disposal for tuning and testing.
In this issue of BRABUS NEWS, we would like to take you on an exclusive tour
through our engine test center, which normally is only accessible to a very few
select employees of our product engineering department.
After the technical design using state-of-the-art CAD and simulation technology is
complete and the first prototype parts haven been produced, the most experienced
experts in our engine shop assemble the first test engines. These engines that two
years ago included our currently most powerful BRABUS engine, the BRABUS ROCKET 900 6.3 V12 twin-turbo increased-displacement engine based on the current
Mercedes 600 and 65 models, are then headed to our highly secured test center.
The test center houses state-of-the-art testing facilities for tuning, performance
optimization and extensive test programs. The engines are put to the acid test on
three stationary test benches and two roller dynamometers.
To start, each newly constructed engine is carefully broken in on a stationary
test bench with the help of special software simulating normal road traffic with
increasing loads. Always on board: the high-performance lubricants from our
technology partner MOTUL.
The next step is the fine-tuning of the electronic engine control unit to program
the perfect mapping for injection and ignition and to modify the boost pressure on
turbocharged engines.
Once a perfect combination of maximum performance, tremendously powerful yet
harmonious power delivery and eco-friendliness has been found after many test
runs in different configurations, the test engines go their separate ways. While one
engine undergoes endurance testing on a stationary test bench designed for engines with up to 800 kW / 1,088 HP (1,072 bhp) of power, the other engines of the
same type are installed in various test cars.
Depending on the model, the testing continues on an AVL single roller dynamometer
for vehicles with two-wheel drive or an a MAHA all-wheel-drive dynamometer, both
suitable for cars with up to 1,104 kW / 1,500 HP (1,479 bhp) of power. After these
tests, the engines are subject to extensive testing on the road, on the high-speed
track in Papenburg in northern Germany and on the racetrack.
During this time, the permanent load tests continue on the stationary test bench in
Bottrop. Thousands of kilometers, frequently without a break for 24 hours or more,
are driven on virtual racetracks controlled by a computer.
Only when an engine passes all these tests with flying colors does a new BRABUS
power unit make its way to discriminating BRABUS customers around the world
once type testing is complete. Of course, backed by the one-of-a-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty for 3 years or 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles*.

Ab sofort gibt es auch ein exklusives BRABUS Veredelungsprogramm für die
fünftürige Version des Mercedes GLE 63.
Mit der neuen B63S - 700 Leistungssteigerung hebt BRABUS das Potenzial des
serienmäßig 430 kW / 585 PS starken 5,5 Liter V8 Biturbo im GLE 63 S, ob
Coupé oder SUV, deutlich an. 85 kW / 115 PS Mehrleistung erfordern zahlreiche
Änderungen an der Peripherie des aufgeladenen Achtzylinder-Vierventilers. Die
Ansaug- und Ladeluftrohre mit BRABUS Gold Heat Reflection fallen auf den
ersten Blick auf, von außen unsichtbar sind dagegen die beiden BRABUS SpezialTurbolader mit größerer Verdichtereinheit, die einen höheren Ladedruck als die
Serienturbos aufbauen.

Die serienmäßige Abgasreinigungsanlage wird durch eine staudrucksenkende
Metallkatalysatoranlage mit 75 Millimeter starken Down Pipes ersetzt. Zusätzlich steht für alle GLE 63 Modelle eine BRABUS Edelstahl-Sportauspuffanlage
mit Klappensteuerung zur Verfügung. Hier kann der Fahrer per Knopfdruck am
Lenkrad zwischen diskretem „Coming Home“ Modus oder betont sportlichem
Motorsound wählen.
Wie es die Typenbezeichnung BRABUS 700 schon verrät, stehen nach dem
Motorumbau 515 kW / 700 PS bei 5.300 bis 5.800 U/min bereit. Ebenso eindrucksvoll ist die Steigerung des maximalen Drehmoments auf 960 Nm, die zwischen 2.000 und 4.500 Touren verfügbar sind.
BRABUS refines the Mercedes GLE 63 SUV
BRABUS now offers an exclusive refinement program for the five-door version of
the Mercedes GLE 63.
The new B63S - 700 performance upgrade significantly boosts the power and
torque of the 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine in the GLE 63 S Coupe and SUV, which
in standard specification is rated at 430 kW / 585 HP (576 bhp). Producing an
additional 85 kW / 115 HP (114 bhp) necessitates numerous modifications to the
peripherals of the turbocharged eight-cylinder four-valve engine. While the intake
and charge-air pipes immediately attract attention due to their BRABUS Gold
Heat Reflection sheathing, the two BRABUS special turbochargers with larger
compressor unit, which generate a higher boost pressure than the production
turbos, remain hidden from view.
The standard emission control system is replaced with an exhaust system featuring free-flow metal catalysts and down pipes with a diameter of 75 millimeters
(3 in). In addition, a BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust system with actively
controlled butterfly valves is available for all GLE 63 models. It gives drivers the
option of choosing between a subtle “Coming Home” mode and a markedly sporty
exhaust note at the touch of a button on the steering wheel.
As the model name BRABUS 700 already indicates, the engine puts out 515 kW /
700 HP (690 bhp) between 5,300 and 5,800 rpm. Just as impressive is the
increase in peak torque to 960 Nm (708 lb-ft), which is on tap between 2,000
and 4,500 rpm.

akzentuiert, der außerdem die beiden keramikbeschichteten Designendrohre
des BRABUS Sportauspuffs perfekt zur Geltung kommen lässt. Der BRABUS
Dachspoiler rundet die aufgewertete Heckpartie optisch ab und reduziert bei
­hohem Tempo auch den aerodynamischen Auftrieb.

The result is performance on the level of sports cars: From rest, the all-wheeldrive car accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds. The BRABUS
Vmax unit included in the engine conversion bumps the top speed to 300 km/h
(186 mph).
Following the aerodynamic-enhancement kit for the GLE 63 Coupe, the BRABUS
designers have now also developed carbon bodywork components for the fivedoor SUV version of the GLE 63. They include the BRABUS front spoiler lip as
well as tailor-made air deflectors with integrated LED side markers for the side
air intakes.
The rear of the GLE 63 receives some added sporty character with the BRABUS
naked carbon diffuser, which in addition also provides the perfect backdrop for
the two ceramic-coated designer tailpipes of the high-performance BRABUS
sport exhaust. The BRABUS roof spoiler visually rounds off the upgraded rear end
and reduces aerodynamic lift at high speeds.
BRABUS alloy wheels are available in various designs and sizes with diameters
of 21, 22 and 23 inches for all GLE 63 models. BRABUS technology partners
Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA supply the high-performance tires always
perfectly matched to the particular wheels.

Since its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA
2015, the new BRABUS Monoblock T wheel design has taken
the hearts of our customers by storm. Launched in two 20-inch
sizes, the decidedly sportily styled five-spoke wheel with
carbon design inlays in each spoke is now also available in a
10Jx22 king-sized format.
A special stylistic trick makes these wheels appear even larger,
because the distinctively shaped spokes, each with two openings, seamlessly transition to the outer flange.

The optimized quantum-dot technology results in all new Samsung SUHD TV sets
displaying a more brilliant picture than their predecessors, with a peak visible light
intensity of up to 1,000 nits (HDR1000). This means they are twice as bright as
conventional Samsung LCD displays.
The ultra-black technology uses a special surface on the display to minimize reflections and delivers even more detailed gradations during low-light scenes.

Maßgeschneiderte Pneus für BRABUS
S eit mittlerweile fast vier Jahrzehnten ist es BRABUS Philosophie, Innovationen
auf die Straße zu bringen und damit Autofahrern rund um den Globus maximalen
Fahrspaß zu bereiten. Jedes neue Auto, das auf den Markt kommt und in unseren Prototypenbau rollt, ist eine neue Herausforderung für unsere
Entwicklungsingenieure, Techniker und Designer.
Ebenfalls von der erste Minute an eingebunden sind die
BRABUS Technologiepartner, deren Markennamen sich wie
das Who-is-who des Automobilsektors lesen. Sie produzieren nicht nur Hightech-Komponenten, die wir für unsere
Supercars oder Tuningkomponenten benötigen, sie bringen auch ihr immenses Know-how und ihre gigantischen
Resourcen ein, wenn es um die Lösung essentieller Probleme
geht. Daraus entstehen dann häufig auch speziell auf unsere Anforderungen abgestimmte neue Produkte.
Ein Paradebeispiel für eine perfekte Kooperation mit unseren Industriepartnern
ist die neue BRABUS 23 Zoll Rad/Reifen-Kombination für das Mercedes GLE 63
Coupé. Ab Werk rollt der SUV auf 22 Zoll Rädern mit 285/40 ZR 22 Pneus vorne
und 325/35 ZR 22 Bereifung auf der Hinterachse.
Grundprinzip des Tunings ist es, immer noch etwas mehr zu bieten. Für unsere Entwickler war von Beginn an klar, dass sich unsere Kunden 23 Zoll große BRABUS
„PLATINUM EDITION“ Hightech-Schmiederäder wünschen. Platz dafür war in den
Radhäusern des GLE ausreichend vorhanden und spezielle Versionen unserer
Monoblock Räder zu entwickeln, stellte ebenfalls keine unüberwindbare Hürde dar.
Als fundamentales Problem erwies sich aber schnell die passende Bereifung: Trotz
tausend verschiedener Reifengrößen hatte niemand die passenden 23 Zoll Hinterreifen für unser Projekt im Programm. Es gab zwar schmälere Varianten, aber der
damit verbundene Verlust an Handling-Performance war keinesfalls akzeptabel.
Mission gescheitert? Natürlich nicht! Nach intensiven Diskussionen erklärte sich

unser Partner Continental bereit, exklusiv für BRABUS eine auf unsere Wünsche
maßgeschneiderte Version des Continental Sport Contact 6 zu entwickeln.
Und so können wir den Eignern eines Mercedes GLE Coupés jetzt eine perfekte
BRABUS Rad/Reifen-Kombination in 23 Zoll Durchmesser anbieten, die auf dem

Tailor-made tires for BRABUS
T he BRABUS philosophy of putting innovations on the road and in so doing
providing motorists around the world with maximum driving fun has been
guiding our actions for nearly four decades.
Every new car hitting the market and rolling into our prototype
construction facility is a challenge for our development
engineers, technicians and designers.
The BRABUS technology partners, whose names read
like a who’s who of the automotive industry, are also
involved from the very start. They not only produce
hi-tech components that we need for our supercars
or tuning components, they also contribute their
tremendous knowledge and huge resources to help
solve essential problems. Frequently this also results in
new products specifically tailored to our requirements.
A prime example of the perfect cooperation with our industry partners is the new
BRABUS 23-inch tire/wheel combination for the Mercedes GLE 63 Coupe. The
SUV comes off the factory line with 22-inch wheels mounted with tires of sizes
285/40 ZR 22 at the front and 325/35 ZR 22 on the rear axle.
The basic principle of tuning is always to offer an extra helping. Our developers realized from the start that our customers wished for 23-inch BRABUS
“PLATINUM EDITION” hi-tech forged wheels. The wheel wells of the GLE offered
enough space for them and developing special versions of our Monoblock wheels
represented no insurmountable obstacle either.
However, it quickly became clear that the matching tires would be a fundamental problem: Despite thousands of different tire sizes, nobody offered the suitable
23-inch rear tires for our project. While narrower variants did exist, the sacrifice in
handling they entailed was by no means acceptable.
Mission failed? Of course not! After intensive discussions, our partner Continental
agreed to develop a version of its Continental Sport Contact 6 tire exclusively for
BRABUS and tailored specifically to our requests.
As a result, we are now able to offer owners of a Mercedes GLE Coupe a tailormade BRABUS tire/wheel combination with a diameter of 23 inches that is unique
on the market. The new BRABUS Monoblock Y “PLATINUM EDITION” forged
wheels are mounted at the front with a width of ten inches. The rear axle even
sports rims of size 12Jx23 – the largest BRABUS wheel of all time!
As on the production car, the tires on the front and rear axle are of different
widths: The Sport Contact 6 tires are mounted on the front axle in size 295/35
ZR 23 XL. The wheels on the rear axle are fitted with 335/30 R 23 XL high-performance tires custom-developed for BRABUS.

eine hervorragende Basis für eine kraftvolle BRABUS Variante. Unsere Motoreningenieure entwickelten deshalb das BRABUS B40 - 500 PowerXtra Performance
Upgrade.
Das Leistungsmodul, das in Plug-and-Play Technologie an das elektronische
Motormanagement des Geländewagens adaptiert wird, steuert den V8 mit neu
kalibrierten Kennfeldern für Einspritzung und Zündung und erhöht den Ladedruck
in moderatem Rahmen.
368 kW / 500 PS oder 58 kW / 78 PS mehr Spitzenleistung als das Serienauto und 710 Nm und damit ein um 100 Nm erhöhtes Drehmoment machen den
Geländewagen deutlich agiler – ob auf der Straße oder Off Road! Der Sprint von
0-100 km/h verkürzt sich auf nur 5,7 Sekunden, die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wird

Fernbedienung aktiviert wird.
Eine ganz besondere BRABUS Spezialität ist die exklusive Veredelung des
Innenraums. BRABUS fine leather Interieurs werden in der hauseigenen Sattlerei aus besonders weichem und atmungsaktivem Mastik-Leder und Alcantara in
praktisch jeder gewünschten Farbe angefertigt. Dabei werden die Wünsche des
Kunden genauso präzise bis ins letzte Detail umgesetzt wie bei der Anfertigung
von Carbon- oder Edelholz-Elementen fürs Cockpit. Weiterhin gibt es sportliche
Details wie Pedale und Türverriegelungsstifte aus Aluminium oder EdelstahlEintrittsleisten mit beleuchtetem BRABUS Logo.
Power and light for the new G 500
T he four-liter eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine of the
latest Mercedes G 500 vintage is a great starting point for a powerful BRABUS variant. Reason enough for our engine specialists to develop the BRABUS B40 - 500 PowerXtra
performance upgrade.
The plug-and-play performance
module is adapted to the engine
control unit of the crosscountr y vehicle. It
provides the V8 with
new mapping for
injection and ignition while moderately increasing
the boost pres sure.
A new power output of 368 kW /
500 HP (493 bhp)
or an extra 58 kW / 78
HP (78 bhp) over the production car plus a peak
torque of 710 Nm (523 lb-ft) and thus an added 100 Nm
(74 lb-ft) makes the G 500 considerably more agile – on and off the road! The
sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened to just 5.7 seconds; the top
speed is limited electronically to 220 km/h (137 mph).
In addition, BRABUS also adds an acoustic highlight to the new G 500 with a
BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust with actively controlled butterfly valves. A
button on the steering wheel offers a choice between the subtle “Coming Home”
mode and an extra powerful V8 exhaust note. With its two chrome side pipes exiting on either side of the vehicle, the new exhaust system also adds some visual
thrills.
The BRABUS front bumper attachments feature an equally unusual styling. They
look extravagant and at the same time house an innovative lighting concept with
six integrated high-performance LEDs on either side, available in a chromed or
black variant. These lighting units can optionally be equipped with a flashing
function. In addition, the outer sides of the BRABUS front elements sport an in-
tegrated backlit BRABUS logo. Black-tinted BRABUS xenon main headlamps are
available as another attractive option.
Other BRABUS bodywork components that upgrade the G-model visually are a
BRABUS logo for the radiator grille and a naked carbon hood scoop. BRABUS
also upgrades the sides with underbody lighting for the running boards activated
by pulling on a door handle or by operating the keyless remote.
Exclusive refinement of the interior is a very particular BRABUS specialty. The
company upholstery shop crafts BRABUS fine leather interiors from especially
soft and breathable Mastik leather and Alcantara in practically any desired color.
The upholsterers work with the same meticulous precision in making the customer’s wishes come true as the team that fabricates the carbon or wood trim
pieces for the cockpit. There are also other sporty details on offer such as aluminum pedals and door-lock pins or stainless-steel running boards with backlit
BRABUS logo.

Motortuning für die gleiche Disziplin nur eine Zehntelsekunde mehr. Mit der im Umbau enthaltenen BRABUS Vmax-Unit kann die Höchstgeschwindigkeit bei
beiden Karosserievarianten wahlweise elektronisch
auf 300 oder 320 km/h begrenzt werden. Passend
dazu gibt es einen speziellen BRABUS Tachometer
mit Skala bis 340 km/h.
Eine zusätzliche Option für erhöhten Fahrspaß ist das
BRABUS Start-Stop Memory-Modul, das die letzte

One of the key features of tuning a turbocharged engine such as the 4.0-liter (244 cu in) eight-cylinder in
the C-Class is a higher boost pressure. The BRABUS
power unit engineers therefore developed two special turbochargers with larger compressor unit and a
special core assembly with reinforced axial bearings.
A BRABUS control unit with new datasets governs
the electronic boost pressure control as well as injection and ignition, which is also a crucial factor in the
performance upgrade. With PowerXtra B40S – 650
tuning, the rated output increases from standard
375 kW / 510 HP (503 bhp) to 478 kW / 650 HP
(641 bhp) at a low 5,800 rpm. Simultaneously, peak
torque grows from 700 to 820 Nm (516 to 604 lb-ft),
available constantly on a plateau between 1,750 and
4,500 rpm.
The sedan equipped with BRABUS PowerXtra B40S
– 650 performance upgrade accelerates from rest to
100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. The slightly
heavier wagon with identical engine tuning takes just
a tenth of a second longer for the same exercise.
The BRABUS Vmax unit, which is part of the engine
conversion, allows limiting the top speed to 300 or
320 km/h (186 or 200 mph). BRABUS offers the
matching speedometer with 340-km/h (211-mph)
scale.
The BRABUS stop/start memory module is yet
another option to enhance the driving fun. It stores
the last selected setting of the standard start/stop
system and keeps it active even after an engine
restart or after switching driving modes.
BRABUS offers a fully stainless-steel sport exhaust
with actively controlled butterfly valves for the V8
with or without engine tuning to make the C 63 S
even more exciting acoustically as well as visually.
The BRABUS naked carbon bodywork components
deliver an optimal combination of aerodynamic efficiency and sporty looks. They come with a choice
of matte or mirror-polished surface sealer and were
fine-tuned in the wind tunnel.
In addition, the looks and handling of the C 63 S can
be refined with tailor-made BRABUS 20-inch wheels
and a sport suspension. Our technology partners
Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA supply the
matching tires of sizes 255/30 ZR 20 at the front and
up to 275/30 ZR 20 on the rear axle.

eine Autobahnauffahrt. Vollgas will bei diesem Auto

Leistung gut kontrollierbar. Der Brabus hebt die sternenlose Nase leicht in den Nachthimmel, der V12 hämmert zornig los und schiebt voran. Und er hört nicht

Wow, dass der Brabus über 350 km/h schnell werden kann und in rund neun Sekunden auf 200 km/h

ist immer mehr als genug da, in praktisch jedem auch
nur annähernd relevanten Geschwindigkeitsbereich.
Vielleicht ist das ja wahrer Luxus. Echte Genießer aber
kuscheln sich in den sondergesteppten Fauteuil und
lassen die nächtliche Welt draußen vorbeifunkeln – ob
es nun die Lichterketten auf der Autobahnbrücke in
Rheinhausen sind oder die Hoteltürme von Dubai.“
