Regisseurin Grethe Bøe, geboren 1971 in Kristiansund, studierte Regie und Philosophie an der Ithaca
Universität in New York. Als Schauspielerin und Regisseurin wirkte sie an Theater- und Fernsehproduktionen mit. 2005 gehörte sie zu den Gründern der Filmfirma Vulkan Story, die auch Spielfilme produziert. Nach
dem Kurzfilm „Markronstang“ ist „The Ten Lives of Titanic the Cat“ ihr Spielfilmdebüt.
Director Grethe Bøe, born in 1971 in Kristiansund,
Norway, she studied directing and philosophy at Ithaca University in New York. She has participated in productions for the stage and for television as both actor
and director. In 2005 she was one of the co-founders
of the film and TV company, Vulkan Story. Following
her short film “Markronstang”, “The Ten Lives of Titanic the Cat” marks her feature film debut.

„Mystery Thrill” aus Norwegen: Eine schwarze Katze,
die aus dem Nirgendwo auftaucht, steht im Zentrum eines übersinnlichen Großstadtabenteuers. Liv lebt mit ihren
Eltern und dem kleinen Bruder Erlin in Oslo. An ihrem 12. Geburtstag erfüllen die Eltern ihr einen Herzenswunsch: Sie schenken Liv eine Karte für die Jungfernfahrt der neuen Fähre „Danaworld“ nach Dänemark. Doch noch am gleichen Tag geschehen
im Erdgeschoss des Mietshauses merkwürdige Dinge. Liv und ihr
Freund Tomas finden dort ein altes Foto, auf dem zwei Frauen
und eine Katze zu erkennen sind. Plötzlich wird die Katze lebendig und springt aus dem Bild. Das ist zu viel für Liv… Als sie im
Krankenhaus aus ihrer Ohnmacht erwacht, ist sie entschlossen,
den Merkwürdigkeiten auf den Grund zu gehen: Was bedeutet
die Vision? Will ihr jemand etwas sagen? Und hat das womöglich
etwas mit einer Schiffskatastrophe vor fast einhundert Jahren zu
tun? Mit Hilfe einer alten Nachbarin gelingt es ihr und Thomas,
das Geheimnis der Katze zu lüften – wobei nicht allein detektivischer Sachverstand, sondern auch verblüffende Spezialeffekte
für Überraschungen und Spannung sorgen.
A “mystery thriller” from Norway: in the centre of this
transcendental urban adventure stands a black cat that
appears from out of nowhere. Liv lives in Oslo with her parents and her little brother Erlin. On her 12th birthday her parents
fulfill her a wish: a ticket for the maiden voyage of the new ferry
“Danaworld” to Denmark. But the very same day strange things
start to happen on the ground floor of the apartment house. Liv
and her boyfriend find an old photograph of two women and a
cat. Suddenly the cat comes alive and jumps out of the picture.
Too much for Liv ... When she comes round in hospital, she is
determined to get to the bottom of these strange happenings:
what does the vision signify? Is someone trying to tell her something? And could this have something to do with the ship disaster almost one hundred years ago? With the help of an elderly
neighbour, she and Thomas unveil the secret of the black cat –
their investigative expertise and astounding special effects guaranteeing plenty of surprises and action!
