http://tu-dresden.de EUROPEAN GRADUATE SCHOOL IN ADDICTION RESEARCH (ESADD) 2014-2015 Promote your research career: apply for free participation now! ESADD provides a two-year post-graduate programme for PhD/MD candidates who strive for excellence in addiction research. You will meet research colleagues and senior researchers from all over Europe, experience high level education and training by top scientific experts and learn how to communicate effectively your work in a high competitive field. Participants continue to work at their university/research institute. The school combines 4 seminar weeks in Dresden, one week in Amsterdam and one week in Barcelona, supervised homework, intranet-based exchange between the participants and an internship in a foreign research institute. Funding by the Volkswagen Foundation allows ESADD to offer up to 16 scholarships for participation in 2014/2015 (free travel and accommodation, coverage of course fees). Seminar topics are state-of-the-art science in major fields of addiction and various academic skills, presented by leading experts in the field: • • • • • Basic neurobiological and behavioral research Epidemiology, prevention and treatment research Public health research Aetiological models for onset, course and cessation/relapse of addictive disorders including gambling and other behavioral addictions Health economics • • • • • Research designs Poster and oral presentations Preparing manuscripts, reviews and grant applications Selective advanced statistic CIDI, MATE and other diagnostic tools Upon completion of the School, you will receive a Certificate (and equivalent ETCS points) conferred by the Technischen Universitaet Dresden and the DIU Dresden International University.
