HIGHRAFF
Rafael Calazans Pierri (a.k.a Highraff), 30 years old, born and living in São Paulo,
Brazil.
Painting in the streets since 1997, under diferent names like Nóis, Fuk, Fds... and since
2004, Highraff.
Transcending from tradicional graffiti, he created his own style of painting mixing
illustration, comic language, psychedelic art and organic forms.
The result is fantastic imagery in vibrant psychedelic colors described by his own words
as multi-dimensional landscape images.
The intention behind his art is to propose diferent possibilities of reality.
The most direct influence comes from natural forms like suns, moons, stars, plants,
animals, cells, atoms, planets and from non material energies.
His whole work is a big prayer to the Nature, it´s elements and cycles ...
Natural shapes and patterns, the spirituality of mother earth, ancestral cultures,
positive vibrations, love for life, nature and art are some of his influences and
motivations to paint in the streets, draw, create sculptures, canvases, digital vectors,
multimedia projects and big murals…
