The Germans say that lies have short legs. Meaning, they don’t go very far.
Does this make them bad dancers, too? Well, luckily this isn’t one of Jan’s
problems, because he is an honest country boy with very long legs. And skilful hands; that keep everything in place and everyone on the dance floor.
Which is pretty much exactly how he settles things. He strides forth upon
this world and into the club. He knows what we require for late night delight
when our day is done. His long arms reach out to us and present us with a
fresh, artfully arranged bouquet of grade-A data; indeed, its circular wreath
of splendour, set atop a tightly bound bushel of lows is what brings us back
to life at the end of the day. Sleep when you’re dead.
Lügen haben kurze Beine. Heisst das also, dass sie auch schlechtere Tänzer
sind? Zum Glück ist das nicht Jans Problem. Denn er ist ein guter Junge vom
Lande mit sehr langen Beinen. Und seine Hände sind in Unschuld gewaschen.
Eine saubere Angelegenheit also. Wenn ‘sauber’ heisst, dass die Tanzfläche
immer voll ist. Was wiederum auch noch nie ein Problem für Jan war. Er geht
offen auf die Welt zu und in den Klub hinein. Er trägt bunte Schlüpfer und
weiss wie man uns den Feierabend
mit Glück bestückt. Mit seinen langen Armen verabreicht er uns ein frisches,
gekonnt abgestimmtes Bouquet aus Qualitäts-Daten. Raffiniert arrangiert in
Kreisförmiger Pracht, dadrunter der dicht gepackte Schub, geschnürt mit
einem roten Faden. Wer da nicht auf seine Kosten kommt, der war innerlich
schon vorher tot.
