A week in Dublin
A week in Dublin
From September 21st to September 28th our class 7B spent an exciting week in Dublin. The
language trip was based on the history and the current situation of Ireland.
After a long flight we finally arrived in Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. The first thing we noticed
when we arrived was the unusually warm weather. Our host families picked us up at the car park. We
used our first afternoon to get to know our new moms, dads and siblings. In the evening we took our
time to explore the still foreign neighborhood. On Sunday we had a trip to Belfast which is located in
the Northern of Ireland. By bus we visited the most important and famous sights, after that we had
some time to visit Belfast's city center on our own. From Monday to Friday we went to school from
about nine o'clock in the morning to one o'clock in the afternoon. We did lots of interesting things
and improved our English as well. Our program in the afternoon was always rich in variety. We made
a tour through Dublin for example, which was guided by our teachers. On the second day we took a
trip to the fishing village Howth, it was fantastic because of the gorgeous landscape. On Wednesday
we visited Collins Barracks to get some information of Ireland’s military history. Our trip to Bray was
very short. After a small photo shooting at the beach we went back by train because it was raining
cats and dogs. On our last day we took a trip to the Guinness Storehouse. It's a museum about the
history of Arthur Guinness and his brewery at St. James’s Gate. At the end of our exciting trip to
Ireland we can say that we all had a very educational and awesome week.
